Mooie grote hotelkamer voorzien van balkon, zitjes en ruime badkamer. Het enige nadeel is dat de gratis parkeerplaats heel snel vol staat waardoor je gedwongen bent betaald te parkeren. Wat op zich wel raar is voor zo'n klein stadje en vrij prijzig,

This is one of my favourite hotels. I haven't written a review for a while now, so I thought I'd write some lines about my two stays this year (June and August). This is a convenient weekend getaway for me. I'm telling myself that I'm travelling to Fosnavåg to photograph birds on Runde, but that has lately become an excuse to get to revisit this hotel. This is still a great hotel; well maintained, great service, comfy beds and quality bedding, effective cleaning staff, ice machine in the hallway etc. I also like that they take the THON membership benefits seriously. I'm a Platinum member and they have always upgraded me by at least one room category, even on very busy weekends. Much appreciated. I mentioned it before, but repeat it so they don't get tempted to remove them: I think it's very nice to have the old minibar fridges, now empty, powered and cold. If I were to nitpick about some negatives, I would say that I would have liked it better if the beds were placed on the other wall, which would allow me to watch the ocean view while in bed. Also, the bread served at breakfast doesn't always seem to be very fresh. This is especially true after a busy weekend (e.g. Tuesday morning). I can understand the economics of this, though; I still remember my 15 months in the marines.

I travel extensively for work, around 170 days a year and I can honestly tell you this hotel is among top 10 in Norway. The cozy atmosphere, the excellent and hospitable staff, good breakfast, the views. The scenery around Fosnavåg with the ocean view and islands around is spectacular. Easy parking across the street. If you are in the area for shipping its around 25 minute drive to Ulsteinvik. Easy access. If you are there for holiday, you can easily use the hotel as a base and drive to Runde or the islands around. Ålesund is around 1,5 hour away.

Text: Fantastic two nights away. Great room and the view was amazing as you can see in the picture. There was a kettle in the rooms, ice machine in the corridor and there was a coffee machine in the lobby. Good food and helpful staff. The breakfast was really good with a great variety of food. Great price on summer deal and with the exchange rate, even better!

I have visited this hotel several times before, and I will be short this time: It's still a very good hotel. Great rooms with a fantastic view of the ocean (assuming you get a room on the "right" side of the building), comfy bed, tasty breakfast, friendly staff, effective cleaning service. Ice machine in the hall. I also like that they have kept the mini bar fridges, now empty, but still powered.

Super nice hotel with a beautiful view over the ocean. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The breakfast was really good. Great selection of different kind of eggs, smoothies, cheeses, cereals and different kind of breads etc. Coffee is for free all the time :)
