L’hotel è in un palazzo veramente molto bello con una posizione meravigliosa sulla piccola baia di Fowey. L’accoglienza è gentile e disponibile. Le stanze sono pulite, ben tenute, molto spaziose. Silenziosissime, almeno per il nostro soggiorno. Le parti comuni riportano al passato. Salone, sale da gioco, bar, ristorante e persino una piccola sala cinema per bambini. Per le famiglie con figli è un posto magico, dove il tempo è scandito da attività per i più piccoli. Bella la piscina. Bellissimi i giardini. Non abbiamo provato la SPA che era comunque disponibile. Abbiamo cenato una sera. La carta è piccola ma offre diverse opzioni. Tutto discreto. Discreta anche la colazione. Comodissimo il parcheggio e, una volta sistemata l’auto, si raggiunge il paese con una passeggiata di pochi minuti. In breve, una soluzione veramente ideale se si cerca una struttura nella zona.

Lovely hotel and setting, lots for kids to do and helpful staff. Food generally quite good and great for dogs. However my son left his favourite book there and I was told I had to send a pre paid package and arrange collection if I wanted it back. I was happy to pay the postage but knowing how much it weighed etc made pre payment hard. We spent a lot money on our stay so this has left a bad taste of what was otherwise a really lovely stay.

1st night staying here and very disappointed so far. The main issue is that our 2 bed family room is located in an annex off the carpark instead of actually in the hotel as advertised (there is no mention of this on the website unlike for some of the other rooms). The room itself is spacious but doesn't have bunk beds as advertised (disappointed kids). It's also a bit tired (dirty grout, unclean windows etc) and pretty impractical (only 1 wardrobe in the kids room with 5 hangers for the 4 of us, not much other storage or practical furniture), the bathroom has no ventilation and smells really damp. You can also hear any movement from upstairs through the ceiling. No kids dressing gowns provided until requested or any sign of the kids monitoring system - not that we can use it since we are 200m from the actual hotel and wouldn't feel comfortable leaving the kids in the room. The courtyard where the annex is located is also home to what seems to be the hotel store room so you are subject to continually trolley runs by staff full of towels, cleaning supplies etc. The main hotel looks nice, it's just a shame we don't feel like we are staying there! In summary, might as well have just booked a self catered place for half the money.

We've had a wonderful 2 night stay at Fowey Hall. The hotel was beautiful, the facilities were great. The outside of the hotel, the views and the grounds were stunning. There was so much to do. We liked the games in the lobby and we managed to get a nice swim in the pool. It was nice and warm and not busy at all on Saturday evening. We also liked the playground for the kids and had a nice walk in the area. All the staff were very welcoming and lovely to all of us. We're celebrating mine and my son's birthday and at the dinner, he got surprised with a cake and Happy Birthday writing on the plate. It was so kind and made him very happy(along with his Sundae). The food in the restaurant and the breakfast were very good. Very nice choice of breakfast to order and buffet style cereals, pastries, yoghurts, etc, were available too. The room was so lovely. We loved the freestanding bath. The room, particularly the bed, was very comfy. We've had everything we needed. The coffee and tea making facilities, the shortbread biscuits and the robes were a nice touch. We've had a free upgrade to a partial view room, we really appreciate the lovely gesture. The kids asked if we can live here and said this was the best hotel ever. We'd definitely return. Such a lovely place to stay. Thank you for having us and for everything.

We stayed here for my birthday treat and we were blown away! We were kindly upgraded to one of the new rooms above the spa, which was incredibly luxurious, with amazing bathroom and an enormous and comfy bed. The staff were all polite, helpful and friendly, and the food we had was delicious. The pool and spa is modern and clean, and the games rooms for kiddults and little ones are a nice touch. We will come back again 🙏🏻

Stayed here for 3 nights in December just before Christmas. We had previously stayed here in February with some issues, but decided to try the hotel out again. The receptionist, kids club and housekeeping staff are excellent, however one of the the restaurant staff needs much more training. The lounges are lovely and the fires are lit in winter. The Christmas decorations were really pretty too. The spa changing area was clean, although they have introduced adult-only pool times in the morning and afternoon. However as these cross over with kids club slots, we had to bring our 9 year old with us, and other older children were in there too. I imagine if you have booked to stay at a family hotel, you should expect children in the pool (otherwise just book to go to a hotel aimed at adults only?). My son had an accident in our room one night and the staff were so helpful, providing us with everything we needed to clean up. Our 2 bedroom sea view room was stunning and huge! It had 3 bedrooms, as the lounge room had a sofa bed, and 2 bathrooms. Very quiet too as at the end of a corridor. The cinema room needs maintenance - the flip down Cinema chairs at the front are not attached to the floor and are dangerous as they tip. A child was injured in February on the chairs, I raised it then and it was not fixed (or had broken again by December). The only staff minor point was the restaurant. Warren got my breakfast order wrong (porridge with cranberries) and then told me to get it myself from the buffet or ask him for more once I had finished the kids portion/bowl he had given me! I could have equally stayed at home and made my own breakfast, but that's not really the point of a hotel stay! During dinner service, he seated us away from everyone else in the main 2 rooms without any music (despite us being the first seated for dinner that evening), asked what we wanted to eat without taking our drinks order first, and didn't tell us any of the specials or ask how our meal was. For a £130 dinner at a luxury hotel, the service needs to be much better (I would recommend going to the Haverners in Fowey, or salty bay co for a brilliant dinner service and meal). All of the other staff were excellent though, and our hotel room was gorgeous. We would try this hotel gain in the future.

Lovely Christmas stay. We were a family of 8 staying for just two nights. We only regret not coming a day earlier but I missed the email where they offered this option. The hotel rooms were spacious clean and comfortable. Our kids loved the games rooms but unfortunately they missed the Christmas activities. They did enjoy to pool area. The food was good although not too creative. The best were the staff who were so accomodating of our numerous and complex requests. Thanks for a nice relaxing Christmas stay.

We recently held our 20th anniversary event for Coast Communications at The Fowey Hall Hotel, and it was outstanding from start to finish. Ellie White, the Event Manager, supported us throughout the planning process with professionalism, care, and attention to detail, making the entire experience seamless. On the night itself, the staff were exceptional; calm, efficient, and genuinely welcoming. Maddy, in particular, went above and beyond and was a real credit to the team. Liz, the wider team, and our guests all had a wonderful evening. The food was delicious, the wine excellent, and the atmosphere faultless. Thank you to everyone at Fowey Hall for helping us mark such an important milestone so memorably.

My friends and I have just had a lovely day at the spa, would highly recommend! Maria gave us an incredible facial and massage, if you can book a treatment with her you won’t be disappointed! We’ll definitely be back 🤩

After looking like it was going to be the trip of dreams, it was far from it. The hotel company had obviously spent ALOT of money refurbishing the hotel, and it was beautifully decorated, however that was about all it had going for it. The lack of staff was noticeable, it was like a ghost town. We opted to have dinner in the hotel, which when we arrived, we were the only ones in the restaurant at 7pm. We were taken to a table, which was right next to a table which was flithy dirty and hadn't been cleaned; with food all over the floor - why on earth they couldn't have taken us to a different table, when the whole restaurant was empty god alone knows!?! For a family hotel, I would say it was far from that. They have their kids club, which you could use, but not sure I personally would want to use that facility. Other than that, you are greeted with a deep pool (both indoor and outdoor!), with no shallow end. No floats for the kids and no atmosphere. PLEASE think twice before booking here. The staff are noticeably under trained, and just don't look like they want to be there! For the money - you could find something ALOT nicer, and a lot more accommodating.

Review: Fowey Hotel Afternoon Tea Twilight Spa We booked the Afternoon Tea Twilight Spa package at the Fowey Hotel for our joint 40th birthday celebrations, hoping for something special. Unfortunately, the experience fell far short of expectations. The cream tea was particularly disappointing. There was a noticeable lack of staff, and we were essentially left to ourselves with no explanation of what had been placed in front of us. We had to go and find someone just to understand what the afternoon tea included, which took away from what should have felt like a relaxing and attentive experience. The standout of the entire visit was the spa itself, especially Hannah, who was absolutely exceptional. Her professionalism and warmth were the highlight of our evening. Sadly, once she was off duty, the atmosphere changed entirely. From around 6pm onwards, we felt like we were in the way, with staff cleaning up and closing down around us right through until 8pm in the relaxation area. It made the end of our visit feel rushed and awkward. To add to this, the cocktails we ordered were incorrect and disorganised, which only reinforced the feeling of poor service and lack of attention. For what was meant to be a special celebration, the experience was deeply disappointing. Aside from Hannah, the service did not come close to the standard we expected.

Stunning place! Lovely hotel with so many lounges, gorgeous grounds & indulgent spa. Spacious bedrooms and incredibly welcoming to dogs. Lovely staff.

We have never been so disapointed . Came for afternoon tea on mon . And what a let down paid 70pounds for 4 finger sandwhiches . Stale cakes .and scones we could nt cut and a feeling staff didint want us there .shoved in the libruary in the corner we ate the sandwhiches and left everything else . We didnt wait around and just walk out the place need s a clean the staff need to rember they are there for the guests .will never return to this place again all fur coat and no knickers

Fowey Hall is an absolute hidden Gem with the most beautiful building and grounds giving superb views over the town and harbour.What really makes it 5 star is it’s exceptional staff and in particular Michaela and Maddy who made my visit particularly enjoyable!
