We stayed in a pool suite and the photos on the hotel website really don't do it justice. It is extremely spacious and the upstairs bedroom in the loft with 3 beds and a DVD player really is fantastic. If you are staying here, you get a complimentary wine tasting session at the nearby Leeu Estate including transfers, it is truly beautiful there, I have included some pictures.

We have just spent 8 nights here. This is a fab hotel- small, peaceful, very comfortable and with excellent staff. Dumi the assistant manager is outstanding and nothing is too much trouble for her. The hotel is in the centre of the village where there are lovely shops, cafes, restaurants etc. A perfect combination. Highly recommended a private pool suite.

What a nice boutique style hotel. Our room (8) was a nice, large and extremely clean, loft style room with open fireplace. There were 25 rooms in what seemed to be an old converted court yard style group of buildings around a small swimming pool. The staff were friendly and helpful and always nice to be around. The breakfast was ‘a la cart’ and of top quality. There were also fruits and cereals. This hotel was a very positive experience and if I were to be in this area again I would defiantly book this hotel.

Overall Everything was fantastic, from the location to the rooms and from the service to the food. Highly recommended! The Good. 1. The location was great. In the middle of the village, it is so convenient for shops and restaurants. There was secure parking 2. The grounds were stunning with great views to the mointains. The pool area was lovely and even had sunscreen left out on the loungers. 3. Service was superb throughout. The staff were friendly and helpful. They added lots of extra touches. 4. The rooms were huge and traditionally decorated. We had a large lounge area to sit in, and the beds were comfortable. 5. The bathrooms were large, and the shower worked well. 6. The food was also excellent. We had rom service and breakfast in the room. All were excellent, and there was lots of choice. We also ate at Epice- one of the beat meals we have ever had. The Bad Nothing really, but heating the pool would be great for the winter!

I love Franschhoek and Le Quartier Francais must be one of my favourite smaller hotels in the winelands. Le Quartier is wonderfully close to all the small and unique shops and we could walk to a restaurant to look for afternoon pancakes. We stayed in the House Suite that is absolutely perfect for families. My 3 year old run up the steep stairs and was so excited about the green soft toys on the two twin beds. The upstairs room also had its own TV and DVD player and she could happily watch her own movie while we enjoyed a glass of wine in front of the fire place. It had 2 separate bedrooms and the main bedroom is downstairs and open to your own private plunge pool. The lounge is spacious and it almost feels like your own home. They spoilt us with snacks and all the drinks are complimentary in the House Suite which is really good value. My 3 year old was very impressed with her red box full of sweets that she received in the room and our 8 month old baby got his own baby shampoo and baby powder. The breakfast table was really good and all the produce is fresh and of the best quality. I loved our time there with our kids but it is such a romantic hotel that next time we will surely go by ourselves!

This quaint Relais Chateau rated has the atmosphere of a quaint country inn. each room has a wonderful fireplace. Our room was 2-levels. The staff was incredible. The food was amazing!!! Make sure you dine at least one night in The Tasting Room which is consistently nominated among the world's 50 best restaurants. Located in the quaint little town of Franschoek. A private full day tour of Wine Country had also been arranged.
