My wife and two grown up sons stayed here recently for 2 days. Avondrood is in a great location near all the shops and walking distance to the Wine Tram which you can take to see the vineyards. Turn left out of the building and there is a great grill room about 50 yards away. Our rooms were amazing with large baths and beds and everything needed, coffee, etc. The lounge is lovely with a bar, comfy sofas, games and the staff were all great, so attentive and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. There is a small pool and outside dining area also. I strongly recommend a trip to Babylonstoren, it’s a farm, vineyard, health spa and restaurant, just the most fantastic place. You can also go horse riding nearby. The staff can arrange for you. I can recommend Avondrood to families and couples.
