Be aware of overbooking by this hotel and selling your room right out from under you. I knew the arrival time for our stay was going to be late, so I called the property around noon the day of arrival and was assured that the reservation was marked as such. At approximately 7:30 p.m. that evening, Alex was required to call me and tell me about this unfortunate situation, but he did not offer any alternatives and did not even try to call the other properties the company owns in Fredericksburg to rectify this overbooking practice of their company. I know this was a busy weekend for Fredericksburg because when I made my reservation approximately three weeks prior all the hotels I called were already booked. Writing this type of review is not in my character. I have traveled many times and never had hotel management do this to me.

It seems like management has lost interest in properly maintaining the motel. Many of the outside plants were either dead or dying. Yes, there has been a drought but other businesses had healthy plants. Check in was smooth and Alex was very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. The room had some issues however. The light at the entry flickered. we told the desk about this but it went unrepaired for the 5 days we were there. The sink faucet was reversed for hot and cold. A small amount of mold in one corner of the shower. One of the window drapes was torn and hanging loose. On the bright side, the room was clean and the bed comfortable.

During our recent stay (checked out 4/16/23), our door deadbolt wouldn't work. I complained for two days. The first night, maintenance was unavailable, and they said they'd be up the following day. At 6PM on the second day, I called for a status, and they sent a guy up. He didn't know how to fix the lock, so I told him how to do it. He left to get the tool I told him he needed and didn't return. I asked upon checkout the next day when I could speak to a manager, and the desk clerk didn't know when the manager would next be on duty. $300/night, and you can't get maintenance nor contact a manager. Pathetic. Clearly, this business has little concern for guest safety or customer service. Nor quality,either, since the cheap laminate floors in the lobby are buckling. We definitely will not stay here again. Room 212, in case anyone from hotel management is reading this review and actually cares, which I sincerely doubt.

Pool and Hot Tub are both out of order. No manager was available to discuss refund. Called booking phone number to talk about situation - 16 people ahead of me, so finally pushed number so they would call me back and they never returned my call. Floor sticky. Throw on bed stinks. Regret booking. Wont stay again

Very friendly staff. Fast check-in. Large, clean and comfortable room. Very quite. Nice hot breakfast. Only a few blocks to the downtown area with lots of shopping and restaurants. Pet friendly at $30 per night. Will definitely stay here again.
