Probably was a nice place a while back but found it to be quite run down. The room was not clean at all and we had 2 cockroaches visiting! Would not stay again

We’ve stayed here numerous times and this time just wasn’t great. We had a few bugs dead and alive (killed two cockroaches and cleaned a few dead ones up, and we had a spider in the kitchen who was a fast escape artist). Most of the staff are very nice. The location is easy to use a base so you can explore the island.

We are so happy to be back at the Ocean Reef Resort and Yacht Club! We stayed here in our boat last year for 2 1/2 months and made reservations for this year before we even left. The resort is nice, the staff is even nicer. Many of the boaters here stay for a while every year-it is such a great community.

They treated my mom well. The electrical outlets was messed up they sent someone and he was good at what he does but outlets was connected to other outlets which was confusing to me so I couldn't charge my stuff by the bed also it took longer to charge phone and earbuds

We've just returned from a 3 week stay at Ocean Reef. We've also stayed there several times before for 3 weeks per trip. The 3 bedroom townhouse is quite nice, with washer and dryer, good ac, good cable TV, and good wifi is available. Rental cars are available at the resort. The bar and restaurant are quite good. The staff, led by Cindy Davis the Operations Manager, are all polite and efficient. There are twp pools, one next to the bar/restaurant and one in the rear of the property, both are nice. Freeport itself is still recovering from hurricane Dorian, but although many shops and restaurants are closed, there are still enough operating for things to be OK. Besides, Oceans Blue restaurant/bar onsite is good, and LaRoc bar/restaurant at Coral Beach Condos around the corner is also quite good. The airport in Freeport is adequate, and will be Excellent when the new one is built (supposed to be operational in 2025, but I'd bet more on 2027). All in all, Freeport is a relaxing and beautiful place and the Bahamian people are polite and pleasant and seem to genuinely like visitors to Grand Bahama. In summary, Grand Bahama is a great place to spend a relaxing holiday, and Ocean Reef is a great place to stay while one is doing that!

I have gone to this resort with my family and friends at least 5 times. I keep coming back because of the friendly staff and convenient location to everything Freeport has to offer. If you are finding this review, there is a reason- you need to stay here- look no further. From the restaurant to the barside pool, you and your family will enjoy the island from a beautiful resort. We stayed at this property August 18th-20th and had an early 8am check in. The lady at the front desk that checked us in was soooo nice, I wish I could've packed her up and take her with me lol. The sad part is I didn't get her name because we were tired from traveling ;( nonetheless, we are traveling back again to freeport in January and hope to see her again. Ps Heineken in the morning does the trick :D We loved everything about the property.

Someone in their inevitable wisdom decided to place a highly glossy and polished floor covering in the condos. This is a water sport area with extreme humidity. Needless to say the combination of this type of flooring and water is not a good mix. I slipped and fell, hard, in our condo. As we were told many times during our stay there is little to no medical service on the island. We never were told nor given in writing to contact the security shack for an after hours emergency. We notified the front desk the following morning and all they asked was "Do you want to fill out a form?" Our flight was leaving and all I wanted to do was go home. If you do not want to slip and fall don't go to the Ocean Reef .
