We verbleven 1 nacht met onze kinderen in Hotel Kreuzblume. De ontvangst was allerhartelijkst, de kinderen kregen zelfs een aardigheidje. De kamers waren gezellig, schoon en compleet. Fijn dat we op de kamer koffie en thee konden zetten. Vanuit het hotel loop je zo het gezellige centrum van Freiburg in. Zeker een aanrader!

Nos hospedamos mi pareja y yo en este precioso hotel de Freiburg a finales de Abril. El hotel está gestionado por un personal muy agradable y sencillo, por lo que te sientes realmente en casa. El edificio es antiguo y conserva todo el encanto del centro de la ciudad de Freiburg, pero está perfectamente adaptado con ascensor y las habitaciones cuentan con todo tipo de detalles y están renovadas y decoradas cada una a su manera de un modo muy peculiar mezclando modernismo con lo antiguo de las paredes y la fachada del edificio. Es todo un detalle tener cada día dos botellas de agua fresquita en la habitación. El cuarto de baño es muy cómodo, con ducha moderna sin complicaciones, cremitas, jabones, gorro de ducha. Lo mejor son las dos almohadas por persona para la cama, una más blandita y otra más dura. El libro de información sobre el hotel tiene las fotos de las personas que trabajan en él y puedo corroborar que disfrutan de su trabajo. El restaurante es muy bueno también. Uno de los hermanos que regentan el hotel es un chef reconocido. El hotel está situado en el centro, pero en una calle peatonal muy tranquila. Estás en un lugar privilegiado, tanto cerca de la montaña Schlossberg como cerca de la preciosa catedral y el mercado diario que tanto aconsejo. La próxima vez que vuelva a Freiburg volveré a hospedarme en Kreuzblume sin ninguna duda.

Hier wurde ganz viel Geld in Bildbearbeitung und Webauftritt investiert! Leider nicht in die Zimmer! Aufgrund der positiven Rezessionen erwarteten wir ein romantisches Zimmerchen für ein entspanntes Pärchenwochenende - und bekamen ein runtergekommenes, lieblos eingerichtetes, hellhöriges Zimmer mit dem Charme einer Hinterhof Jugendherberge! Die Lage ist top, - dass war es dann aber schon! Für den Blick auf den Hinterhof über der Küche (deren Geräusche man auch die ganze Nacht bei geschlossenem Fenster mitbekommt) können die Betreiber nichts aber wenn schon ein Blumenkasten vorhanden ist, dann gestalte ich den auch, um es ein bisschen nett zu machen. Man hört jeden Schritt und die Dusche der anderen Zimmer. Auch interessiert es die Betreiber scheinbar nicht, dass nur ganze 5 Fernsehprogramme funktionieren, die man aber auch noch unter mehreren hundert suchen darf! Wenn man überhaupt Fernsehen möchte, denn jeder Computer Bildschirm ist größer! Zum Frühstück gibt es verwässerten (viel zu heißen) Cappuccino und Aufbackbrötchen (es war Samstag, da hätte man in jeder Bäckerei frische Leckereien bekommen). Sorry aber die teuren Zimmer (150 €) nur über die Lage zu rechtfertigen ist einfach nicht angebracht. Wir sind viel in Hotels unterwegs und mögen andere Ansprüche haben aber wir haben schon oft liebevolleres für die Hälfte bekommen. Die Kleinigkeiten machen es halt aus!

Auf de Rückreise aus der Schweiz hier für eine Nacht übernachtet. Das Hotel liegt super in eine der schönsten Straßen der Altstadt. Sehr praktisch; das Schlossbergparkhaus liegt direkt um die Ecke. Die Weimstube war leider geschlossen aber sehr lecker beim Inder nebenan gegessen. Das Hotel wird sehr geschmackvoll immer weiter modernisiert. Klimaanlage im Zimmer. Sehr ruhig nach hinten raus. Kleines aber sehr feines Frühstück. Sehr freundliche Inhaber.

Preis/ leistug stimmt gar nicht...zimmer klein vorallem badezimmer,da kriegt man fast platzangst...zimmer wurde nicht gereinigt...wir waren 2nächte kn der kreuhblume...bett ist sehr unbequem...und es gab kein frühstück wegen personal mangel...wir würden dies nicht mehr buchen...

Vom Empfang über das Bett, in dem ich wunderbar geschlafen habe, sowie das Bad und das allerliebst zubereitete und präsentierte Frühstück stimmt hier wirklich alles. Bei meinem nächsten Solo-Besuch in Freiburg zum Fußball ganz bestimmt erste Wahl, Felicidades!

This is a fabulous little hotel in the old part of Freiburg. It’s situated on a quaint cobbled street just a few minutes from many bars, restaurants and shops. The room we had was beautifully decorated, the bed was comfortable to sleep on, tea and coffee was available in the room. We will most definitely be returning for a weekend get away again in the future.

As i have arrived to Hotel/ Restaurant Kreuzblume i was warmly welcomed by the director of the hotel and his lovely partner, they both showed me to the room, it made me feel very welcomed, the design of the room gave me an impression of a boutique hotel, the beds where very comfortable, home away from home. I was quickly amused by the restaurant and the creative menu composed by the Chef (Arne Jan Kruithof) I made a reservation on the same evening and on the evening itself i decided to have a 6 course menu, which started of with an (Amuse) of cod and truffel mouse finished of with a madeira gel. home made bread was served with thyme butter, and chopped green olives. The first course: was kohlrabi in three ways, with a sweet potato cream, crispy baked boletus mushroom. The second course: was a smooth crayfish bisque with orange and tomatoes. The third course: was lightly smoked and crispy baked duck leg with farmers cabbage, potato and pork belly. The fourth course: grilled beef ribeye, with sauteed spinach,oysters,grapefruit and a lovely gravy. The fifth course: was a stewed pear with blue cheese. The last course was a caramel parfait, with marinated pineapple sable and a caramel sauce infused with rosemary. I was so amazed about the quality of the food and perfect service provided by the staff. A place where i will return soon all the courses where accompanied with mainly local wines and explained in detail by the director/ waiter of the hotel they happened to be brothers. This was a small and cozy hotel inside the center of the city. I have stayed in this hotel for one night. The people in the hotel were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and practical. The breakfast was included in the room price and was not fancy but included all the essentials. The only problem I had was with the shower which I wish it had a base and a wall, so that the water wouldn't spread all over the floor of the bathroom. And the origamis were lovely.

I went with my boyfriend to Freiburg for the weekend and we stayed in this charming hotel. Arriving in the old town of Freiburg is already a pleasant way to look for this hotel. Wondering the cobbled streets, passing by beautiful small boutiques and gourmet shops. One of the things I liked the most about this hotel was the location and its surroundings. The pedestrian street is quiet and car free yet lively with by passers on guided tours. It immediately gave me the holiday feeling. It is less than a minute from the Munster and a few minutes far from the shops. The trails for the Schwarzwald are a short walk away. Even if the hotel is located in a pedestrian area the parking is just round the corner. The hotel looks traditional from the outside but inside is decorated in a boutique style, I loved the contrast. It has two entrances, through the restaurant and through a small reception area with a beautiful marble staircase. Our room was big, I loved the wooden floors and the bed was really comfy. The views were the beautiful cobbled street and the traditional German houses with lots of plants and flowers. I really liked that there was free bottles of water in the room. The breakfast was downstairs in the cosy restaurant. There was real coffee and freshly cut fruit salad! All in all a fantastic hotel and definitely worth the money. This was a romantic get away and to stay here made it perfect.

We're staying in room 6 of this hotel over the Easter 2012 weekend and I highly recommend this place. We are a married couple with two small children and this room, #6, is a really good choice for a family, as it has a queen size bed, a single bed and room for a crib. The hotel is very centrally located on a beautiful, pedestrian street in Freiburg's beautiful, pedestrian-only old town. The room seems to have been very recently renovated. Very nice flat panel tv, nice bathroom fixtures, and, most importantly, very comfortable beds. Water pressure could have been better, but that's the only slight negative I can think of. The staff is fantastic- very helpful and they speak English, which is nice. Our room came with breakfast which is very high quality. Super fresh, tasty croissants, very good bread, mueslix, some other cereals, very good cold cuts and a few other options. Not a huge quantity of choices but the quality is first rate. Good coffee and cappucinos too. I would return here in a heartbeat.

Charming small hotel in city center. Rooms have been renovated with modern bathrooms. Owners could not be more eager to help. Breakfast was excellent. Dinner no longer served but there are very good options down the block or short walk away. Highly recommend and would stay there again.
