弗雷斯諾花園旅館套房酒店(Garden Inn and Suites Fresno)

OVERALL...a dump. GO ELSEWHERE!!!!!!!! This is a Motel 6.1 -- a repurposed condo or retirement home property. The first two-bedroom suite we checked into did not have functioning air conditioning--the thermostat read 82 degrees (and actually climbed to 84 before we went to the office to report it). In the replacement room, the A/C worked in only one bedroom and not adequately. The thermostat also read 82 degrees and never budged downward, even though we set it to 55 to try to get it to cool down. A man, who did not identify himself initially, knocked on our door and when my sister was trying to get him to identify himself through the door/peephole, he said he was "checking on the room", then he attempted to open the door from the outside. When I came to the door and asked who he was, he said he was from the "front office" and offered us two separate rooms, somewhere else on the property. We declined...my sister was not comfortable being in her own room in a "sketch" motel. I jimmied the coffee table to keep the door from being accessible from the outside before we went to sleep. Not identifying himself, up front, as being an employee of the hotel was completely unacceptable, unprofessional and left us wondering about the security of the hotel. In the morning, we spoke with multiple other guests, all of whom had problems with the air conditioning. The AC in the first two-bedroom “suite” did not work at all. Jackson, the front desk manager, moved us into a comparable room, but the AC only worked in one of the two bedrooms. Later, “someone” started knocking on our door, and even started to come in uninvited. When I demanded to know who it was, he said he was “from the office” and came to offer us two separate rooms somewhere else on the property. I’m traveling with my sister and was not going to leave her alone in her own separate room in an already sketchy situation. If it were up to me, and I were traveling alone, I would’ve demanded a refund and gone and found a place that had working air conditioning and wasn’t so rundown.

The management had us try 3 different rooms and the A/C was not working. The A/C had no controls so we believe that management expected people to just use the fans. So, we decided not to stay. Then they were not willing to offer to book a room at a different hotel for us. We did find one on our own.

How did this place get so many 10/10 reviews??? Sheets weren’t changed, AC didn’t work well, no cable channels, terrible shower head. Only positives was, as mentioned before, the beautiful fruit trees.

The front desk person was very incompetent and held up my money becuz he did transactions wrong so I had to pay for another room and it had no A/C horrible service and room was filthy I give this hotel O stars ot a real roach motel.

Key card did not work, even after 3 tries with different cards. Front desk finally had to use “emergency card” to open door so we could get in. Air conditioning did not work as the temperature was in the high 70’s. With the age of the property, the rate should have been less.

This hotel was booked to attend the garden next door. Super sketchy and front desk staff treated us with annoyance. Had to walk to the very back of the building with a broken porch light. Would not rate this property anything over 1 star.
