Ein wunderbarer Fund! Jean-Charles ist ausgesprochen nett und aufmerksam. Das alte Herrenhaus ist mit viel Liebe wunderbar renoviert und voller Charme. Wir haben dieses Schmuckstück zufällig auf unserer Rückfahrt in die Schweiz entdeckt. Ein Ort, der eigentlich viel zu schade für nur eine Nacht ist. Der Frühstückstisch ist mit viel Liebe gedeckt, es gibt einen Pool und die gesamte Atmosphäre lässt den Alltag sofort vergessen. Der Schlafkomfort ist durch die herrliche Ruhe und die sehr bequemen Matratzen ausgezeichnet. Eine Adresse, die wir wärmstens empfehlen! Une magnifique découverte ! Jean-Charles est extrêmement sympathique et attentionné. L’ancienne maison de maître a été rénovée avec beaucoup de goût et de charme. Nous avons trouvé ce petit bijou par hasard sur notre route de retour vers la Suisse. Un lieu bien trop beau pour n’y passer qu’une seule nuit. La table du petit-déjeuner est dressée avec beaucoup d’amour, il y a une piscine et toute l’atmosphère permet d’oublier complètement le quotidien. Le confort du sommeil est excellent grâce au calme absolu et aux matelas très confortables. Une adresse que nous recommandons chaleureusement!

Accueil chaleureux. Belle chambre spacieuse et tout confort. Petit déjeuner très copieux. Bref, une petite parenthèse très agréable grâce aussi aux gentilles attentions et à la bonne humeur de Jean-Charles, propriétaire de cette belle demeure de charme. Encore un GRAND MERCI.

Per noi è stata davvero una piacevole scoperta. Ci abbiamo soggiornato per visitare le cantine di Saint Emilion. Abbiamo assaporato l’autenticità degli Chambre d’Hotes con camere pulitissime e ben curate, con tappezzerie studiate e sac per la piscina pensato in ogni dettaglio. La gentilezza di JeanCharles ha contribuito a rendere ancora più vero il Nostro soggiorno, anche la leggera decadenza degli esterni ha reso per noi questo soggiorno più vero. Lo consigliamo per famiglie e per coppie.

Tout nous a ravi: la belle maison ancienne aux pierres ocres, la décoration intérieure très réussie, le calme environnant, les bancs dans le jardin, la belle vue sur la Dordogne, la grande amabilité des hôtes très disponibles et très compétents.

Acabamos de pasar unos días increíbles en Le Petit Garros, todo ha resultado perfecto. La amabilidad y simpatía de Jean Charles nos han acompañado desde el momento de nuestra llegada, la casa es preciosa, las habitaciones muy bonitas y confortables, el jardín y la piscina ideales para descansar y el desayuno abundante y muy completo. Un sitio estupendo para pasar unos días y conocer la región de Burdeos. Totalmente recomendable

Un superbe endroit avec beaucoup de charme au calme absolu au milieu des vignes. Des chambres originales, vastes et très confortables mais également des salons superbement meublés dans lesquels il est agréable de s'attarder. Si l'on ajoute l'humour de l'hôte, cela permet un séjour parfait que l'on renouvèlera volontiers. Pour parvenir au plus que parfait un petit déjeuner extérieur (en lieu et place du salon intérieur) sous les saules pleureurs serait un must!

We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay at Le Petit Garros! Peaceful riverside location in the Fronsac wine region, about 45 minutes east of Bordeaux city center. This stone farmhouse was restored beautifully by our host, Jean-Charles, over decades, and his attention to detail shows: large rooms with beamed ceilings, handsome antiques mixed with contemporary accents, and a lovely garden. Our room was huge yet cozy, with a high ceiling and a modern full bath in the loft. Delicious breakfast. You'll need a car, but you'd need that anywhere here in Bordeaux wine country. The real charm of Le Petit Garros is its owner, Jean-Charles. He was always eager to help us plan our day, sharing his knowledge on his favorite vineyards to visit and where to find a great meal. He even volunteered to help me with my French: "I will speak English with your husband, but you and I will speak only French so you're confidence will grow!" We would love to stay here again and highly recommend Le Petit Garros. Merci mille, Jean-Charles!

Beautiful place in a very peaceful and quiet area but close to a lot of wineries and the towns of Libourne and Fornsac, which have some nice restaurants. Wonderful and helpful host, Jean Charles. Great place to stop for a few days of relaxation and quiet after visiting some of the cities in the Basque Country and Bordeaux. It would be a great place to bring your bikes and use it as a base for some riding in the wine country of Bordeaux. Maybe next time that will be the plan.

It is almost you are staying in a very tasteful museum and every room is full of surprises. That combined with the modern amenities makes it a very special place. The best however is Jean Charles the host. He makes you feel at home immediately with his friendly nature and great sense of humour. He also is very helpful in finding restaurants of wine tasting ideas in the area. I would recommend this place to everybody who likes to explore the st. Emilion and pomerol areas. I would definitely return here

Jean-Charles goes out of his way to make you welcome and comfortable. Great sense of humour and helpful in providing local advice and instructions. Very comfortable en-suite room and good breakfast. Not the cheapest but a very happy experience.

A very tranquil location next to the Dordogne well situated for Fronsec , Pomerol and St Emilion wine tasting. Good facilities and bedroom. Breakfast was excellent and the host’s English was better than he let on. Highly recommend. Thank you Jean Charles.
