施勞斯霍普福勞酒店(Schloss zu Hopferau)

Einzigartige Location mit viel Flair! Wir waren für eine geschäftliche Tagung im Hotel und rundum begeistert: tolles Ambiente, erstklassiger Service, sehr gute Verpflegung, große, hochwertig ausgestattete Zimmer mit ausgefallenem Design. Es hat einfach alles gestimmt. Toll ist auch der Schlosspark mit Spielplatz sowie die diversen Räumlichkeiten im Hotel, man findet immer ein Plätzchen um sich zurückzuziehen, auch außerhalb des eigenen Zimmers. Wir werden sicherlich wiederkommen um auch einen privaten Aufenthalt zu genießen.

Wir haben während unserer Flitterwochen zwei Nächte in der großen aber teuren Ferienwohnung im obersten Stock verbracht; das Badezimmer der Schlossherren Suite ist sehr klein und veraltet. Es ist auf der Webseite nicht abgebildet. Wir sind deswegen sobald als möglich umgezogen und haben noch zwei weitere Nächte in einem kleinen aber sehr angenehmen und wesentlich günstigeren Hotelzimmer mit modernem Bad im zweiten Stock verbracht. Nach einer sehr unangenehmen Erfahrung bei der Abreise und einigem hin und her via Email wurde uns ein Preisnachlass von 15% für die beiden ersten Nächte eingeräumt.

Staff were very casual when we arrived. Throughout our four nigh stay, the manager was present once and the director was completely absent. The staff was mostly friendly and helpful, but not trained. We liked the food at the restaurant very much, but the restaurant was closed two out of the four nights. The breakfast is small and not worth mentioning. Unfortunately, we booked their suite which looked decent in the pictures. If the expensive Schlossherren Suite had the same quality as the regular rooms of the hotel, there would be no reason to complain. Once we moved to a hotel room, we felt very comfortable during the last two nights of our stay. The first two nights, on the other hand, were a massive disappointment as this supposed to be suite resembles an ordinary vacation rental with an outdated bathroom. The description of the suite speaks of it being exclusive and tasteful "It impresses with generosity, comfort, simple elegance and style-defining details." Unfortunately, this does not correspond to what we found, and one can expect from a first-class hotel. Regrettably, the images on the website are selective and don’t include the bathroom. The bathroom is dated and the bathroom door in poor condition. As a result, my wife had great difficulty unlocking the bathroom door and panicked. We had imagined an elegant hotel suite for our honeymoon. What we found, and why we almost left after the first night, was an Air B&B style apartment. One can argue about taste, but less contemporary decoration and good quality furniture would do the suite well. The treatment on the day of departure by the receptionist shook us. I have experienced many things, but I have never been threatened with the police; I wasn’t willing to pay the full price for the first two nights due to the above mentioned shortcomings for this very disappointing suite/apartment. The director repeated this threat on the phone. Incidentally, his behaviour does not make a particularly accommodating and professional impression. To alleviate the frustration of the first two nights, I suggested a 30% discount for the first two nights. After a lot of frustrating back and forth via email the director offered a 15% rebate for the first two nights. We cannot recommend this hotel even though the regular rooms are nice despite their eccentric decoration.

Das Schloss verfügt über schöne und saubere Zimmer mit einem geräumigen Bad. Es ist umgeben von Natur und man hat einen tollen Blick auf die Berge. Das Essen ist sehr lecker, sowohl das Frühstück als auch das Mittag- und Abendessen.

We stayed here for 1 night on our way to Italy. The castle is beautiful on the outside and also has a nice terrace and sufficient parking space. The room was a little old fashioned but very clean and has a comfortable bed. Unfortunately the restaurant is closed on Wednesday. Luckily it was nice weather so we ordered home delivery and enjoyed the meal on the beautiful terrace in the sun. The reception personnel was very friendly and provided us with lovely wines and cutlery. They also have there own rose wine of which we bought several bottles to bring home with us. The breakfast was okay. When we were almost ready we noticed that other guests were offered cappuccino and scrambled eggs, unfortunately that was not offered to us.

Great staff , free parking , great breakfast and it’s a 500 year old castle. Room are good size and bed is comfy.

We had a very special experience at the Schloss when we stayed there for three nights as we explored Bavaria. It is a lovely old castle in a bucolic setting situated on the outskirts of town with views over the rolling hills, a pond and a biking/walking trail. Every member of the staff was pleasant and responsive and many times went out of their way to make our stay special. We had evening drinks in the large lovely courtyard and twice ate at the restaurant which honestly, I'd have gone there for the food even if we hadn't been staying there. Creative and tasty in a romantic, cozy setting. The rooms are in a new part of the castle and ours was tastefully decorated with a large bathroom and big windows with a nice view. Finding the Schloss and parking at the Schloss was very easy. I would highly recommend the Schloss for couples or families as there is ample space for kids to run around and play
