坦佩巴特斯菲尼克斯萬豪度假村(Marriott Phoenix Resort Tempe at the Buttes)

This is an older resort so is a little rough around the edges. The setting is beautiful and I loved the saltwater pool. The room was clean and parking was good. They also have a coffee shop for a quick coffee to go. Ordered room service for breakfast, and the food was mediocre.

We had an unexpected flight delay which caused us to miss our connecting flight, we had to find a hotel without our luggage... Ray the night manager was so helpful and understanding. He gave us some toiletries, a breakfast voucher and was very professional and courteous. The hotel was comfortable and if we had our luggage, we would have taken advantage of the two pools to relax. Close to the airport via an uber ride and safe. I would stay again given the opportunity. There is some highway construction near by during the night, but the air conditioning unit fan drowned out the noise. Overall I would recommend this hotel, especially due to Ray and the other very pleasant staff.

The hotel is nice and sits in a beautiful location with picturesque desert/mountain views. What made the trip disappointing was that we had invited our parents to join us at the pool and we’re going to have a pool side dinner only to find out that they closed the food service at 5 pm (a little mind blowing, considering check in is at 4 PM until you get settled in your room and get out to the pool), as well as the pool side bar closed at 6 and did not offer any daiquiris or pins coladas (what you would expect to find at a pool bar). The water slide was closed and the pool needs a good clean, the side tiles were pretty disgustingly filthy. For charging a $15 parking fee plus a resort fee, it’s just disappointing that there was a lack of amenities that are advertised and were not available.

I paid for a resort room but watch out with this location! We got a 3000 resort room which was much below the pool level, and you could see everything in our room from outside. It was very uncomfortable and unpleasant. We had to keep all the blinds closed for the most of the time. When I called guest services they said they can send engineering to fix the blinds to have them closed. Do I want a room with all blinds closed for the entire duration of my stay? Then why am I getting a resort room? The 3000 level rooms should bot be called or be at the price of the rest of the rooms. It's trucking customers into paying more and getting something horrible.

Was charged $15 a night for parking on top of the resort fee. Was never told about parking!! Rooms were very blah!! No table, one small chair. A ton of empty space where a table or small sofa would go. Nothing fancy at all. Very very small bathroom area. Nice pool and staff. But thats about it!

Due to the overbooking of the facility I was forced to change my stay from the Buttes to the Arizona Grand. I’m not sure how I was selected to get relocated but this was extremely unfortunate from my perspective since I was there for a team meeting and this relocation severely restricted my access to my team. I’m very disappointed that my so-called Gold Elite status with Marriott carried no status when it came to Marriott honoring my confirmed reservation. In the future, my decision on where I chose to stay and who I chose to do business with will be impacted by this unfortunate decision on Marriott’s behalf.

Such a disappointing stay. The pool is amazing, but the hallways and rooms smell like a cheap motel. My room had a popcorn ceiling and stained/peeling wall paper. Very dated for such an expensive property. For a couple hundred dollars per night, I was expecting a much nicer stay.

We made the mistake of traveling with our 5 month old so that's on us. However, he loves the water so we figured we'd spend plenty of time in the pool tiring out. The pool is NOT heated. Pretty cold for adults let alone babies. The pool was the main reason we booked this particular resort. We also could not get housekeeping services. We requested new clean towels when no one came to change over the room and two hours later still had none so we had to track down the housekeeping and just get them off the cart. We were charged for parking although we had no car. I will say we were given late checkout and that was nice. I would not return.

We had expected better from Marriott. We stayed here as part of a family vacation. One big reason for choosing this hotel was the pool, unfortunately, the hot tubs were broken and the water slide was closed for repairs. The hotel is large and sprawling, yet no one offered luggage assistance at check-in. Overall the hotel is dated and has an odd small in the hallways. There are better options in the area.
