Surrounded by trees near the buildings and having a mango farm in the area, makes this place a good birding spot.  Food was great and soothing, and the employees were cheerful and cooperative. They were very helpful in sorting out any requests or doubts. I came for the safari and thankfully Mr. Amit the naturalist in the lodge accompanied me to all the safaris and we were able to see a lot of species in the Gir National Park.  Even after the safaris, I was able to walk around with Amit in the property to watch for birds. Rooms were clean and comfortable. It was a wonderful experience for me. Their attempt to keep the operations of the lodge as sustainable as possible is worth mentioning. Spacious dining hall where guests can eat, interact and even play some board games is also an interesting highlight. As a nature enthusiast this place which during night is completely covered with ambience of cicadas' songs and frogs croaks may also show promise for observing insects and even herpetofaun in the region. Nice and peaceful place to stay. Room services could be improved. Supportive staff Food availability is Veg and Non Veg both so you can choose either of your own wish If you want to spend 2 3 days at Gir, this is the beautiful place to be there All the best

Gir Birding Lodge is the ultimate family retreat! From the friendly and helpful staff to the fantastic food served exclusively at their restaurant, every moment was delightful. We stayed for two days, enjoying the fun activities suitable for all ages, and the lodge's proximity to the safari made our wildlife adventure seamless. Highly recommend for an unforgettable family vacation!

Another fantastic stay at the Gir Birding Lodge! I’ve been here a couple of times before and will be sure to come again! The food, the staff, the rooms are all excellent and they really do take every measure to make your stay a comfortable one! I don’t often to get to meet all the staff but all of them are very kind and hardworking! Ramesh, Neepen and Kushal were always happy to make sure I had a comfortable stay!

It was an excellent stay. The rooms are excellent, spacious and well maintained. The place is in the middle of nature loaded with trees and birds. The breakfast was quite good and the staff was polite and on the toes to serve you. Overall rate 5 on 5.

It was an awesome experience at Gir Birding Lodge. We were 5 of us (2 families) opted 2 nights stay here. Right from the check-in till check-out we had an exceptional experience of hospitality. The rooms are spacious, clean and the staff is very courteous. Healthy and delicious food is an another star mark for them. If all this is not enough, you can approach one of the staff, Mr. Amit; who is a keen birdwatcher and will take take you for a memorable birdwatching act. At said price Gir Birding Lodge is highly recommended and must visit property. Sameer

Hi; We were two families who had travelled to Sassan Gir and had stayed for two nights at this fabulous resort very close to the Gir National Park.. Right from the reception the experience was exquisite and hence memorable..Outstanding quality of staff, rooms, location, and yes food was the highlight. The hotel also had a a bird expert Amit who took us for a bird walk and gave us some very interesting knowledge about various birds which we sighted. Highly recommend this place if you plan to visit Sassan Gir. Thankyou

Nice and cost place to stay on the outskirts of the National Park. The Park entrance is only a 5 minute drive from the birding lodge. The place is highly recommended if you love staying close to nature and want to avoid hotels. The behaviour and service from the staff is one of the best I have ever seen. Don't forget to explore the orchard . You will find many birds including peacocks.

Excellent place to stay and enjoy nature. Nice bird watching experience, recommend everyone to try it out! People are also very good and quite helpful. Various indoor games are there and cycles can also be rented. Food is delicious, we eagerly look forward to coming back super soon!! :))

The rooms are spacious, clean and beatifully furnished. The best part is that there is a free birding tour including a walk ***** the nature trail. We had good fortune of sighting at least 10 variety of birds near the river. The food is good and the staff is courteous. We really enjoyed our stay as it has an ambience of a jungle. Only downside being the prices of stay and food are a bit on high side. Otherwise a great stay.

Nice and calm place to stay amidst mango orchard, Staff are very friendly and helpful. Amitji (a nature enthusiast and a guide) took us for a nature walk in the morning, he is very knowledgeable about the birds and we learnt a lot about birds from him. Huge thanks to Ramesh, Amitji and the entire team for a wonderful stay. greatly appreciated and strongly recommend to those who love nature. I would look forward to visit them again this year.

The lodge is ideally placed 5 minutes from the gates to the Gir forest Sanctuary. The bungalows are well furnished and each has a kettle with tea/ coffee and biscuits provided. Fresh water is also brought to your room daily. The bathrooms are well equipped with soap/shampoo and water is very hot! All the bungalows are well appointed with views across the mango garden. We spotted chittal and a lone jackal one afternoon while sitting on our patio. The food is excellent and plentiful. All meals are authentic Indian cooking and there is cereal, fruit and toast for breakfast as well. A highlight of the lodge is the attention and the service from all staff given to each guest. Blankets are provided for the morning game drives which you will need in the winter months!. Staff are polite and respectful and always available to answer queries. We would recommend the complimentary bird walk given by Amit: although this is a short walk ***** the river there is plenty to see (including crocodile) and Amit has extensive knowledge of the area. We had a great time and would like to thank all the staff for making this such an enjoyable and comfortable stay. Hopefully we will be back one day.

Lovely place to stay when doing the Sanan Gir Safari. The grounds were peaceful and shady. The rooms were simple but comfortable. Had a nice hot shower. Didn't miss the WiFi. Meals were delicious. The morning bird walk with Amit is a 'must' do. He has excellent knowledge of birds and is an enthusiastic guide. It's obvious birds are his joy and he loves to share it.
