BreakFree Diamond Beach

5 months ago we booked and paid in full ($1200) for a 3 bedroom apt from 14-18 Nov. BAM! The $ were deducted straight off our credit card. 3 days before our arrival we receive an email stating we have been downgraded to 2 x2bedroom apts and an extra $620 is required to cover the 2nd apar**ent. How rude! The lame excuse given was that the resort was overbooked so our booking had to be amended….not you would call good customer service. This holiday was a family get together and our 4 rooms were scattered over the complex despite several requests months before our arrival dates for us to be near each other. Bottom line, after contacting senior Management at Acoll they graciously waived the 2 nd fee of $620 for the second 2 bedroom apar**ent - however their entire attitude was that. “We can change the booking and you have to accept this”. Totally unprofessional on all levels. Also they claim they were booked solid - which wasn’t true and the main pool was out of service for 4 of the 5 days we were there as they were undertaking pool maintenance. We will definitely “break free” from this chain of resorts- Your organisation -in this instance - showed total disrespect and contempt towards us (your paying customers) and we will definitely not ever visit your resorts again and will duly inform ALL of our family and friends of your rude and unprofessional behaviour towards us. Also the Wi Fi is not free and very expensive.

Great family amenities. Children loved the pool area. Very clean. Peaceful setting. Within walking distance to beaches, shopping, clubs and eateries. Life savers on all beaches. Great parks and bike tracks Highly recommended for family holiday.

Amazing holiday over all, such a good location, most people were really friendly here however it was really off putting that what I can only assume are permanent residents choose to ignore the no smoking signs. It was very overwhelming to a point where I had to close all doors and windows from the smoke coming into my room, it was also very present when siting at the pool, almost no escape! Personally as someone with chronic lung issues this was off putting hence the 4/5. The bbq area also seemed like the floor needing attending to as it was very old and looked to be peeling at places which seems like a trip hazard. Also the outdoor spa pool was very cold and basically the same temperature as the pool…. The room we stayed in was beautiful and obviously recently renovated and clean.

The reception staff was very good and helpful. The cleaning staff was very slack. I was there for 3 weeks and had to wash my own sheets and towels. I did complain to office 3 days prior they are aware

We spent two weeks here. My honest opinion is it was fine for what we needed. The room we received was nice. sure it could do with a major spring clean but we went on holiday to go out and about and not sit in the room and look at the dirt! first night I did not see but the pillow I slept on the cover was stained badly which turned me off but a quick trip to reception and they got the cleaner to come and change it. The pool was great for the family but again it did seem a bit dirty towards the end of our stay. Other strange thing I found that was the mid stay room clean was completed was done on day 12 of a 14 day stay which is definitely not mid stay! This is our third stay here we love the location, garden and pool we would possibly return but would hope the standards lift before doing so.

Comfortable beds, modern bathrooms and the washer machine and dryer mean you don't have to take a bag of dirty clothes home with you. Location is great, with a range of restaurants available nearby plus the beach within walking distance.

Was perfect for the kids as there was a great pool and very close to the beach and playgrounds. Only thing for me as my mobility is compromised I could have done with a ground floor apar**ent instead of a third floor one

We loved the room size and location of this property. We could walk to the beach, playgrounds, shopping and restaurants. The facilities were clean and there was plenty for my 2 young kids to do while we relaxed in the sun.

We really like the location of this property, directly across from Pacific Fair, and walkable if you want. Parking is great and the pools are fantastic for the kids
