斯平德里夫特海灘公寓酒店(Spindrift on the Beach - Absolute Beachfront)

Mother nature provides the amazing view, Spindrift provides the minimum. I wanted to cry as soon as i stepped into our unit. We paid extra for oceanfront which we got, but on the ground floor, Unit 1, so you do not get the same views as their photos show. Mold stains on the blinds, fridge front finish worn right through, chipped floor tiles and EVERY wall garked and marked. Laundry cabinet rusted, both bedrooms total dark bunkers with an outlook to a close plaster wall. Wardrobe doors chipped, side lamp broken.......A starter pack of 1 toilet roll, 1 bin liner and 1 dish wash satchet is all you get. you can pay for extra. This is not a cheap place, but feels so so budget. I can cope with dated decor but this was just run down and no maintenance or love given. Unit 1 is a sad tired dark dismal place, apart from the ocean facing living area. When I went straight back to receptionclose to tears to say how dreadful it was, she just shrugged and said we are not 5 star. I wasnt expecting leather, marble and opulance, but I was expecting nice.

On site management was over the top. Micro management of how to entering and exiting the building. Accusations of parking in the wrong numbered car park, which was infact incorrect, no apology was offered. In lots of ways ruined the holiday.

The apartment is in a great area with cafes/restaurants close by and being on the beachfront is wonderful. Sadly the carpets were not very clean and the wifi was poor and inconsistent. We had trouble logging in, and when we finally did the wifi would drop out and then be totally non-existent for long periods of time. We reported this to the managers but apart from saying "check the spelling" of the password (obviously we'd done that), they just didn't care saying they hadn't had problems before. This just isn't good enough for tourists who have done their best to support the Qld tourism industry during covid.

Amazing location, will definitely be booking another stay again very soon! We stayed on the ground floor which meant we had direct access to the pool, BBQ area and beach - perfect for us with a little one.

Fabulous location and right on the beachfront. Management were lovely and very helpful. Very close to local surf club, cafes and restaurants. Will definitely be back in the future.

The view was just magnificent. The apartment was easy to get to . Great location.

A lovely apartment overlooking the beach and ocean. Good kitchen, large lounge. Undercover parking. The bed was super comfortable. And the pool and hot tub was lovely in the 30 degree heat. We will be back.
