Location is nice. Tons of places nearby you can go on foot. Very lively at night. Room is kinda busy and small. Refrigerator and microwave are there. Bed and lines are good. Hotel deco is nice. Staff is awesome friendly. Free coffee and water at lobby. Kinda noises until bars are closed.. I think it became quiet around 10 or 11.. I would stay there again.

My husband and I were so surprised to find this little jewel. It was so classy and historical. The servers at the restaurant/lounge were so nice and the food was great. We got our morning walk in right on the creek side path directly behind the hotel and there was an amazing coffee shop 2 doors down. What a great alternative to the hustle and bustle of Denver.

Really nice hotel - large rooms, beautiful views, right next to a beautiful creek and great walking trail, and right next to great restaurants and shopping, not to mention the nice restaurant at the hotel which has great outdoor seating overlooking the creek. Highly recommend and would love to stay here again!

The Golden Hotel is ALWAYS our choice of where to stay when we are on the west side of Denver/Golden. This is a beautiful hotel, loaded with antiques, pictures, and always a vintage vehicle to enjoy in the lobby. The Bridgwater Grill is a great place to unwind, with outdoor seating overlooking the creek during the Spring through Fall months; and Tyler in the bar area is the best!! The ongoing quality is down to Tim, the GM, and his remarkable staff.

We travel a lot for business, and since we always travel as a family, we usually try to spend one day doing something adventurous and touristy to create a family memory. On this business trip, we decided to stay at The Golden Hotel in Golden, Colorado, upon a friend’s recommendation who used to live in Denver. At first glance online, my husband wasn’t too excited about staying at the hotel because the pictures don’t always do justice to a place’s charm. However, I was hoping we would land at the perfect spot, and thankfully, our search came full circle when we chose The Golden Hotel. I can’t begin to express what a great decision that was. From our first interaction with the front desk staff to our last moment on the property, it felt like a five-star experience. While waiting to check in, we sat outside and had brunch by the riverside. The staff and waiters were so kind that we joked they might have thought we were secret shoppers. This obviously wasn’t the case, but it speaks volumes about the quality of experience The Golden provides for its customers. Brunch was amazing; we sat in the sunshine watching the water rush along a snowy bank. It felt like something out of a movie! Coming in spring, we had the perfect mix of warm and cold. I never expected to sit outside comfortably in the sun while snow was still on the ground. It added another magical layer to the quaint town of Golden. When checking into our suite, we were pleasantly surprised by its beauty. It had a total log cabin feel with a fireplace, yet all the luxury you hope for in a five-star hotel, including robes and an in-bath hot tub. Our mountain view was incredible! After resting, we decided to find some food. Due to our incredible breakfast experience, we opted to try the restaurant for dinner too. It was early, so we arrived during happy hour. The food was excellent! They offered special dishes only available during happy hour, each delicious and well-priced. We thought about exploring the city, but the hotel and its surroundings were so special that we ended up staying and enjoying them the entire time. Due to business, we flew in early and didn’t have our next appointment until a bit after checkout. Thanks to early communication with the front desk staff and perhaps because it was the slow season, they allowed us to check in early and check out an hour late. This completely transformed our stay and our subsequent business trip as we had ample time to reboot, rest, and enjoy our time as a family. We had a slow morning, and when it came to food, we couldn’t imagine eating anywhere else but on site. It did not disappoint! Every meal offered new and exciting options not seen on other menus. Every person we encountered was full of life and incredibly kind. We later discovered that the staff wasn’t just wonderful to us—they were genuinely kind to everyone they interacted with. It was such a special stay that I commented to the front desk as we were leaving that it felt like we had ju

The Hotel is under new management. One of the very noticeable changes is a new parking charge at $30 per night. That new added hidden charge is not is not mentioned on the website when you make your reservation, the first time you learn of it is when you check in. I paid the fee. But it gets better. On the last night there, starting just after midnight, we were bombarded with a constant stream of text messages asking for a credit card number to pay for parking, something that we had already paid for. It gets even better. When I brought this issue up with the front desk staff they acted as if the Hotel parking had been taken over by aliens and that they couldn’t even bring up the issue with their management. No type hint of concern or apology for a a night in their facility with continuous interruptions concerning their parking facility. This used to be a very nice place to stay.

Coordinated a large meeting for my company here. Worked with Victor and Kenzie on the rooms, meals, and meeting room accommodations needed. EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE and attention to detail every step of the way. I highly recommend utilizing this hotel for business meetings.

Great place, convenient and nice views. Friendly staff, clean fresh rooms, and easy check in and out. Parking was free and near the door. It is within an easy walk to numerous restaurants and shops. The creek running next to the hotel had walking trails on both sides and a bridge next to the hotel. Our go to place in Golden

During my stay, I became ill and had an accident on the sheet. The next morning, I removed the sheets from the bed and asked two staff members to replace the bed sheets because I had an accident. The staff said that they would, and they even accepted a gratuity from me. I can say for certain that the staff did not change out the sheets that morning and that they put the same sheets back on the bed with the stain from where I was ill. I was humiliated and had to sleep on the other side of the bed the next night. I didn’t want to say anything about this because it is a sensitive issue, but since I’m accused of damaging the mattress and sheets when I did not, I have no choice but to defend myself. I was not satisfied with the cleaning staff and the stay at the hotel, and I would appreciate a response to this delicate matter from you within 24 hours. I have also included a photo I took of the sheets your staff failed to change out and made me sleep on that night. I dispute the $250 charge they gave me.

As well as an incredible location, The Golden Hotel offers wonderful service and incredible rooms. The whole team comprising management, front desk and restaurant are always delightful and eager to help. This is certainly our "go-to" hotel whenever we are in the golden/Denver area.

Beautiful hotel in a beautiful setting. The rooms were luxurious. Bed unbelievably comfortable. The restaurant and bar was good, we had excellent food sitting on the patio with a wonderful view of the river. The staff were very helpful. It’s the perfect location, walking distance to everything!

This is a lovely hotel. Nice staff. Really nice and caring. Rooms are large with comfortable beds. Our room had a nice sized balcony overlooking the main thoroughfare where we shared a glass or two of wine each evening. They have a car show the first weekend of each month and it was fun watching the cars go up and down the street. They are a little noisy but they shut it down around 8 pm. As to hotel traffic and noise between rooms, it is pretty quiet but we travel with a noise machine so rarely notice noise. The rooms have a small fridge but no microwave, which would be a nice feature. They have free coffee in the morning. which is nice. And there is a wonderful coffee shop just off the 2nd floor parking garage that opens at 6 am with sensational coffee and breakfast pastries to go if you don’t want to eat a sit down breakfast at the hotel. Valet parking is $20 a night which isn’t horrible and the service is good. There is a Mexican restaurant on the property which is reasonably priced and a nice bar. The bathroom in the room could use some updating, but it was adequate and functional. If you are not familiar with Golden it is a small town with fun shopping, good reasonably priced restaurants and great hiking. We went to the Red Rock Amphitheater which is 20 minutes away for a concert and drive up to Breckenridge for the day, which is an hour twenty minutes away. So thumbs up to the hotel and the town and we will stay there again.

Our one night stay was the end of an anniversary week trip on the Front Range. Bath door wouldn’t shut. Chipped toilet seat. Only one sitting chair. Missing window screen. Disconnected thermostat. Small room. Stairwell doors don’t close//latch (fire code). For $600…we won’t be back.

The location is great, staff is amazing (Nicole at the front desk was wonderful - and Matt in the restaurant was super helpful and friendly!), and the restaurant (especially outside) is fantastic! Breakfast, lunch and dinner. I loved waking up every morning and taking a walk along clear creek!
