Not having air conditioning was fine everywhere else in Ireland because we opened the windows. Despite having the windows open it was too warm in the room to sleep. Loud traffic outside the room as well as an entry ramp made the room very loud. The food in the restaurant was very good but the wait staff were very busy chatting with each other so it is hard to get waited on. All the staff were very nice. There is a large swimming pool, hot tub and gym. A hip abductor/ adductor would be a good addition to the gym.

Hotel rather tired. Facilities need a make over. I paid for two nights with breakfast INCLUDED. I was challenged on both days that I hadn't paid for breakfast (embarrassing!). When I came to leave I was asked to pay for the whole stay again. When I asked for my booking to be checked reception blamed the booking company for getting my payments wrong. Not true Reception had not checked my details.

The room was nice, clean, a bit aged, but nice. Enjoyed the pool and the thermal rooms. Dinner service on a Saturday night was rather slow though. One person on the bar on a Saturday night is definitely not enough. Waited about half an hour to pay the bill

Very disappointing. Staff ignores you when you arrive as they are "too busy", the heat in the room was excessive and we couldn't change it - so it felt like a sauna-, the shower was broken and only had burning water -so had to shower in the sink-, and the breakfast room was basically like a fridge. We did not enjoyed the breakfast, both for the food (scrambled eggs that comes in Tetra packs, no thanks !) and for the room which was freezing. The staff was clearly having struggle to manage the room temperature, and did not even apologize or say anything about it. Very unprofessional and unfriendly overall, from A t Z.

I was very disappointed with this hotel. The check in took 2 hours to get our room. The room was like a sauna and when we opened the window the smoke from drinkers on their smoke break rushed in. We did get a fan that helped. The shower was broken and soaked the bathroom floor with water. We couldn’t even use it because all we got was scalding water. I would give this hotel and Gort a skip.

Multiple calls to reception went unanswered, forcing me to go downstairs and twice find receptionists doing nothing (the calls were late at night over a period of one hour and half an hour, respectively, and it is highly unlikely anything was happening to keep them busy). On top of that, each night I arranged a wake up call that never arrived the following day. Equally frustrating, i returned to the room the first day to find it had not been cleaned. The excuse was they didn't have enough staff. Meanwhile, not once was I offered so much as a drink or a breakfast for their repeated failures to provide even a base level of service.

There was a lovely receptionist named Hannah, she was always helpful and friendly! The property is in need of an update, the rooms look original, about 40 years old. The food in the restaurant is okay but their are better options in town.

Excellent hotel complex, exceptionally comfortable, staff very friendly, food excellent, faultless.

First staff were lovely. Really nice. The hotel is clean and nicely decorated. The rooms had no air con and while this was not the hotels fault as we knew this already but it was one of the hottest weeks and they had no fans either. Also because of covid, there was no house cleaning, no kettle etc and I stayed in another hotel during covid which had these. As a family, it made things difficult. No fresh towels. Nowhere to dry wet towels. The bin piling up etc but I appreciate hotel was just filling procedure. Also check in was meant to be from 3 but our room wasn’t ready to 5. Overall i would consider this hotel again but not during covid as it was difficult for us as a family.
