My wife and son and I have just returned from a mini break at the 1692 Wasdale Boutique accommodation. The location of the farmhouse is quite remote and does require transport to get to it. However, the views of the surrounding fells are spectacular, and the grounds of the property are well maintained. The property itself is completed to a very high standard with modern finishings that compliment the barn conversion. The whole property is spotlessly clean, and each room is unique. The breakfast was fantastic with a variety of cereals fresh fruit and also different options for cooked breakfasts. With all locally sourced ingredients. There is an honesty bar on site with an excellent choice of spirits and beers. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I would not hesitate to recommend this place to friends and family.

this was my first visit to the lake district and it is safe to say me and my partner were not disappointed. As a whole the lakes are beautiful and worth visiting alone but 1692 wasdale really made this trip perfect. It is a family owned and run business with very kind and attentive staff that aren't afraid to go that extra mile. I opt for the 'romantic package' including a bottle of prosecco, chocolate hearts, a bunch of flowers, chocolate strawberries and rose petals, which were beautifully displayed and didnt disappoint! the room we stayed in, 'the stone suite' was very clean and up-to-date with underfloor heating, electric blinds and overall a very modern touch. The hot tub was very clean and we were allocated a lengthy 2 hour slot which was more than enough time to relax. the honesty bar is also very well stocked and reasonably priced with something for everyone's taste. Not to mention, the breakfast. We had their breakfast both days we stayed and there was not a single thing to fault, well presented, tasty and filling with many options from continental to a full english. I would love to return in the future for another visit if i am within the area!

1692 Wasdale Pure quality start to finish. Room was perfect ( collie ). Staff and owner very friendly. breakfast was excellent just like the homemade lemon cake. Would stay again in this beautiful location without a doubt. Highly recommend. Baz &deb. Leicester.

What an absolute treat, I can only add to what everyone else is reporting. The welcome was warm, the property beautifully appointed and the rooms comfortable, stylish and immaculate. I had a wonderful weekend and felt really spoiled. Breakfast was outstanding - in fact every little detail was just so well-judged. I can't wait to get the opportunity to book again.

Another amazing stay! Such a comfy bed and lots of special touches. The homemade cake and shortbread is delicious, and Faith makes the BEST scrambled eggs! The toiletries are also lovely and made by a sustainable local company. We'll definitely be back again!

The accommodation exceeded our expectations, the room was fantastic, very spacious and completely spotless. We were greeted by the host who was warm and welcoming, along with a great local knowledge of the area. The breakfast had a superb choice and was expertly cooked and presented, with locally sourced produce. I have stayed in a number of 5 star hotels and our room was right up there at that level. The overall stay was superb, the owners obviously have very high standards and it is obvious in the detail. A bonus was the hot tub, set in lovely scenic surroundings. We will definitely be booking again, and thoroughly recommend 1692 Wasdale to those seeking a special experience.
