I DID NOT STAY AT THE HOTEL BUT WAS CHARGED FOR STAYING DESPITE MY ATTEMPTS TO FIRST MODIFY MY ARRIVAL DATE BY ONE DAY, WHICH WAS NEVER CHANGED, WHICH LED TO ME BOOKING ANOTHER HOTEL BECAUSE THE HOTEL TOLD ME MY ROOM WAS CANCELED. I attempted to make modifications to my reservation within the designated timeframe and anticipated that the process would be completed successfully, although I did not verify it immediately. After the cancellation deadline passed, I realized the changes had not been processed, so I attempted to modify my reservation again. Subsequently, I submitted a request to cancel my booking, which allowed me to secure alternative accommodations. I confirmed with the hotel that my cancellation had been processed and that no room was reserved for me. Despite not staying there, I was charged the full price, which suggests there may have been some miscommunication. Additionally, I have noticed a lack of coordination between Trip.com and the hotel, as my app communication was not aligned with the conversation I had with a hotel representative over the phone. Given these circumstances, I believe I am entitled to reimbursement
