蒙特科德諾酒店(Hotel Montecodeno)

Strategic location where you can experience both Varenna and take the ferry to Bellagio. Worth for short travelling stay in couples.

Purtroppo o forse per fortuna non ho alloggiato in questa struttura. Ci tenevo a descrivere la mia esperienza. Prenoto non direttamente da loro sbadatamente scrivo la data sbagliata pago ma subito dopo mi accorgo dell'errore. Provo subito a cambiare data/cancellare. NULLA. Non è più possibile. Allora mi rivolgo subito alla struttura chiedendo supporto e spiegando della svista. Chiedendo di spostare loro la prenotazione a 2 giorni dopo pagando ovviamente se ci fosse stata la differenza. NULLA. Non rimborsiamo. OK lo accetto. Chiedo uno sconto riprenotando per 2 giorni dopo. Ho disdetto la camera subito. Ormai 80 euro persi. Vi ho dato la possibilità di guadagnarci 2 volte. Non fatemi pagare la camera per intero veniamoci incontro. NULLA ARRANGIATI. Da come ho capito ai Signori della struttura Hotel Montecodegno perdere un cliente non ha nessun valore. Hai sbagliato? Arrangiati. Deluso davvero davvero deluso mai successa una cosa del genere.

Beware! Bait and switch! We paid for the Montecodeno 3 star hotel and upon arrival we were walked down the block to hotel Baretta, a 1 star hotel.. broken toilet, no towel hooks. All broken off of the wall. Had to leave towels on floor or on toilet when not using. Had to walk up the street for breakfast during drizzly mornings. Broken elevator. Hotel blamed it on the travel agency for separating us from our adult children who were placed in the original hotel.! The pro: good breakfast and coffee.

I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Montecodeno, while the room are basic, they were clean and the beds were comfortable. The location is good, very close to the ferry port and train station. The buffet breakfast exceeded my expectations for such a small hotel. Matteo and the lady (who I didn't get the name of) at front desk were both really friendly and helpful, such as getting us an umbrella when it was raining without asking and giving us directions.

The address provided is not the lobby address of the hotel but it is the address of the back entrance to get into the room. No refrigerator in the room to keep in the room but they allow us to store my insulin in the near location. The hotel room that we get is not wheelchair accessible, it has steps.

We booked this hotel. Whoever arrived and paid we were then told we are to stay at a less rated hotel down the road. Very sneakily done. Hotel down the road was cheaper. Would’ve booked direct with that one if we had of known. Also told that the hotel had a lift, as you would have guessed it it was out of order. Going by other reviews it looks like it is common practice. Be very wary.

Property was not as advertised. The picture on the ******* page was a picture of a hotel across the street. We requested a lake view room so they put us in a different hotel 2 blocks away, right over a bar, at a busy intersection with still no lake view. This hotel had only a one star rating. Very disappointed.

I emailed them before my booked date to let them know that i needed to cancel because of medical emergency, they did not consider giving me a refund and instead they wanted to know if im still coming so they can free up the room. No consideration for a refund because they said i am on penalty for not showing up even though i advised them beforehand that it is because of medical situation.

Sengene var harde, veldig lytt mellom rommene, badet var trangt. Var knapt personal i resepsjonen. Kritikken er i forhold høy pris for å bo på dette hotellet.
