Booked a one night stay at this pretty country Inn for my husband’s birthday. We stayed in room 11 which is separate to the main Inn in the cottage next door. Beautifully decorated and spacious room with high end fixtures and fittings and luxury bed linens. Quality touches such as lovely toiletries and even home made cookies . The food was exceptional. Do remember to book a table as it seems very popular and you wouldn’t want to miss out! We stayed on a Sunday evening and both had the roast beef dinner. My husband had the scallop starter which he said were the best scallops he has had for some time. I had the smoked pork cheeks. Very tasty indeed. Desserts were divine. Breakfast was excellent. Huge full Yorkshire breakfast that filled us up for most of the day . All the staff were really friendly and welcoming and couldn’t do enough to help. There was a slight problem with our bill at check out but Nathan dealt with this quickly and efficiently . We would highly recommend and look forward to coming back

We wanted a few days away in the Yorkshire Dales area as it was somewhere we didn't know too much about. The scenery is stunning and the small market towns are full of interesting shops to visit. The Timble Inn was perfectly situated to visit many places of interest. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, the room was lovely and the food was exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they were knowledgeable about the area. We couldn't fault the service we received and would thoroughly recommend a visit.

Had Sunday linch here for 8 of my family. Really interesting menu, based on classic Sunday lunch, but with interesting tweaks and a full vegan/vegetarian menu as well. Fantastic food and really well balanced flavours. Its NOT a fill-your-boots carvery, so if that’s what you are looking for you are better elsewhere and it isn’t a cheap Sunday dinner, but if you like high quality food, beautifully presented and you are happy to pay for quality then its a great choice

We stayed at Timble in from Thursday-Easter Saturday and it was fabulous. We were in a superior room 8 and it was lovely. Food and service were both fantastic. Breakfast fabulous too. We will definitely be back. Only 20 minutes from Harrogate where we went and had a lovely afternoon tea at Betty’s Tea Rooms. A fabulous break. Thank you to Sarah and the team for a lovely, relaxed stay 😊

My daughters wedding was at Bolton Abbey on the Saturday, we took over the Inn for the Friday and Saturday nights. The location was first class being only 20 minutes from the Church/Abbey. The Inn has a cottage with two rooms attached and a lounge area which was ideal for the Bride, Mother of the Bride and Bridesmaids to undergo hairdressing and make up on the morning. The Timble staff were excellent, special mention must go to Sarah, Emily and Judith, who went above and beyond. The extra special service started on the Friday evening with 20 of us for a sit down dinner, 2 were delayed by over 2 hours and missed the main meal, but an alternative was provided in the restaurant and a cheese board awaiting them in their room. The staff took across bacon sandwiches etc to the cottage for the ladies being made up for the wedding and were generally very attentive. The wedding finished at 12 midnight but on returning to the hotel we couldn't enter as we had forgotten our keys, fortunately we called the Inn and Judith let us in providing us with spare room keys. On the Sunday evening 4 couples stayed to attend a 70th birthday lunch in Ilkley and a cheeseboard was awaiting our return in our rooms at 9pm. I have given a flavour, but it is not easy to give a full picture of just how outstanding the Timble Inn team were, I suppose the highest accolade I can give is that I felt that I had been staying with friends, we were on first name terms, they definitely went above and beyond, with exceptional service, fantastic food and couldn't do enough to make you feel welcome!! A big thank you to Sarah, Emily and Judith as well as the Chef(s) and cleaning staff in the background. We will return as will our friends who said the same.

Good food. Great accomadation, loverly staff. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and may return. I can see advantages for those persons who like to walk or hike with the position of this resteraunt and accommodation being near to the moors and public footpaths. It was a bit too isolated for my needs.

We have just spent two nights at the Timble Inn. We are delighted we selected it and will return when the oppertunity arises. As usual, it is the people who make something what it is. We could not have recieved a more warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff, bar/front of house, kitchen and maids/cleaners were all brilliant, and treated my wife and me, along with our small dog Lucky, like we were life long friends. Everything was done in a a friendly, attentive and helpful manner, without crossing the line between client and staff, very skilful and professional. The room was small, but well designed, clean and functional. The bar area was very nice, with two excellent well kept real ales, along with a good selection of all the usual drinks. The wine list is interesting and extensive. The restaurant offers a good range of well cooked dishes. The breakfast sets you up well for the day, again with a good selection to choose from. The owners should be very proud of their business, but the jewels in the crown are their staff. We will be back (if we can get a room!).

We had the most wonderful lunch following a lovely walk met by Sarah & Julie could not of been more welcoming and the food was fabulous- this was our first time strongly recommend and definitely coming back

Having visited for lunch in September, we decided to revisit and stay the night. We stayed in the Nidderdale Suite which was lovely, very comfortable and we had a great nights sleep. Woke up to lovely views, peace and quiet. The restaurant is really cosy and atmospheric and the food is superb, imaginative and very well presented. The staff are all friendly and efficient, nothing is too much trouble. The ethos of the owners shines throughout - a cosy, spotlessly clean and high class establishment, looking after guests and giving them a relaxed and very enjoyable experience.
