Great place, terrible sleep. Food, service, people, building, all really lovely, however.... I needed a place to sleep, and i got none whatsoever. Single glazed windows, meant i coukd hear cars outside and the adjacent street. I coukd hear every creek from the rooms next to me and above me, and there were alot of creeks! Lastly, it was really really hot... if i opened a window, the noises were enhanced. Im just asking for aircon or even a desk fan in the wardrobe to be available. Other than that, a lovely place, but the reason I booked it was to get a good night sleep, and regrettably, that didnt happen.

Lovely venue Wedding planner WHAT wedding planner absolutely disappointed Rudeness to guests when they contacted venue Poor standards of cleanliness in wedding venue Bridal dress room over flowing bins and rubbish from previous guests over the floor not vacuumed Rude unprofessional bar staff on wedding night Refusing guests ice and only giving one ice cube in gin and tonics it was 26c Removal of small alcohol favours from guests tables but this didn’t happen until after the wedding meal and speech’s ( not in the contract to allow alcohol not brought from the very expensive bar) Staff overheard complaining about setting up seating for our daughters wedding ceremony Just not good enough I’d definitely not recommend this venue for a wedding

Small Room Surprised on the size of the room, TV was fixed to the wall with no pivot to watch while in bed. When visiting the outside was being repainted with the workman smoking outside the door and window.

A really welcoming historic hotel. All of the staff were amazing nothing was too much trouble. The room was very clean and comfortable. The meal in the restaurant was excellent and the way that they catered for one of our group who was gluten free couldn’t be faulted. We will definitely be back

Came for dinner. Asked for a drinks menu but they don't have any. Bread rolls were brought to the table without any butter - we asked for some, and only received butter for one person. Pigeon starter was divine. Lamb shanks were dry. This establishment is appears to be using young people just finishing their education and who have no waitering experience, some training would benefit both the youngsters and the establishment.
