The facilities on site are amazing. Lots to do for nature lovers(walks, hikes, fishing, dam to swim in). The onsite restaurant and wine tasting are great. They catered for 25 of us and it all went very smoothly. the food at the restaurant was amazing. There is a lot to do in the surrounding area too. We took a trip out to see the klipgat caves(a must) and then into Stanford town, then the next day to Hermanus. Suggest to try and pick a weekend without heavy wind though as it's hard to sleep in the tents as they flap around alot, But it sounds alot worse than it is. The tents are very sturdy. We had 2 nights of heavy wind. You do however get used to it on the second night. They could also improve on the braai packs, they are very underwhelming.

After our two night stay at Africamps Stanford Hills, we have become glampers! My daughter and I had a wonderful experience. The tent was spotless clean, comfortable, the electric blankets were an absolute bonus (seeing we visit during winter time). We had everything we needed. The hot tub was great. We even participate in horse riding. All effortless, thanks to Leila at the reception. Leila was helpful, friendly and really went out of her way to accommodate us. We were looking forward to a mom/daughter break away where we would be able to relax. And so we did. We were able to :rest in peace". We will be back. This time we will invite friends as well. Thank you Africamps Stanford Hills for a wonderful experience.

From arrival to departure it's 5 star. Super efficient friendly staff in every department . On arrival we were give. Our beautiful breakfast picnic basket with so many fresh goodies and so much that it lasted 2 days . The Boutique tent are luxurious, super clean and very well equipped. We had tent 2 which was in front of the sparkling dam - we sat on tge deck birdwatching , reading and of course drinking Stanford Hills wine .

5 out of 5 - what a great place. The tent was great , the location was great. The hot tub was really fun especially at night with a cold drink under the stars. Well done - I have tried to book another weekend this year but you are full - I know why. 😉. We will be back as we all really enjoyed our stay.

Tent entrance flaps zip broken door flap straps off so cant fold flaps away or roll up check other tents same story no point in having a view but you cant enjoy it absolute poor maintanance On all the brochures there are photos of how flaps are rolled up with photos of the views unfortunately it is not working like it should

The experience was, overall, interesting. Being just two of us, I think we missed out on the cameraderie which more in the unit would have brought : it is definitely a place to share. We also arrived relatively late, did not have the need to make a braai or supper and heating the hot tub was out of the question as it would have taken too long and probably too much wood. Had we had all these experiences in our stay, I think we would have enjoyed it more, but what we saw and experienced was impressive.

We have stayed at Africamps Stanford twice and both times we have been blown away by the location and service (literally and almost figuratively, with the Cape wind!). The tents are big, well set up and quite private even though you are next too other tents. The views over Stanford and the Cape Fold mountains are unparalleled, and it is a beautiful property to walk around and explore.

Amazing location, Stanford is perfectly situated for family trips. Africamps always a winner. Especially the hot tubs ;-) Tents a little noisy when the wind blows, however that's the chance you take when clamping in winter.

Good value for monry, tranquile and easy to get to checkin and checkout is very smooth, However, that whilrpool doesn't make sense heating it up in cold sorroundings since the temperatures drop in evenings, Jacuzzi could\ve been installed in the bathroom.

Our stay at AfriCamps was nothing short of spectacular! The combination of nature, comfort, and adventure made it a perfect getaway. The luxury tents are beautifully designed, blending rustic charm with modern convenience. From the cozy beds to the fully equipped kitchen, everything was thoughtfully curated to make the experience unforgettable. The surroundings were absolutely breathtaking – waking up to stunning views, chirping birds, and fresh air was pure bliss. The staff were warm and welcoming, ensuring we had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The wood fire jacuzzi under moonlight and the mountain view were my absolute favorite. AfriCamps is a perfect escape for couples, families, or even solo travelers who want a unique glamping experience. I can’t wait to visit the next one.

It was our first stay at Africamps and I will actively try stay at others now. We are a family of 4 with 2 young kids and it was the perfect start to our holiday. The tents are perfectly designed for a young family. It was just so good to be out in nature with our kids. We had prearranged a braai pack which had been delivered to our room on arrival which was very good. The only problem with the hot tub was we couldn’t get the kids to get out. Lying in the tub with the whole family under the most beautiful night sky was one of my highlights of my life. Thank you

I heard so much about Africamps and the Stanford Hills venue in particular. We eventually had the opportunity of going from 7 -11 January 2025. Whilst the venue is lovely, and the tents well apportioned and comfortable, and the hot tub a special treat, all this was tainted by the manageress who on our last day, when we were checking out (they have a very strict 10am check out policy), we were a little late (left at 10:20) in getting some items out of the tent, she made it very clear how she felt. Her attitude was a mixture of contempt, superiority, arrogance, or disdain. This brief interaction we had with her detracted from our experience and left us feeling disrespected after having spent a not-insignificant amount of money as Africamps is not a cheap experience.

A beautiful , well maintained camp . Luxury tents with good beds and bedding , superb shower , hot tub ( took a while to warm up but was worth the wait , although it was freezing cold !) , breathtaking surroundings . Overall such a nice place to stay .

Our stay at Africamps at Stanford Hills was nothing short of amazing! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with beautiful surroundings and a peaceful atmosphere that made it the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The luxury tent was incredibly cozy, well-equipped, and offered everything we needed for a relaxing stay. We loved sitting on the deck, taking in the stunning views of the small lake and the city lights at night, and enjoying the peacefulness of nature. The outdoor experience was enhanced by the comfort and convenience that Africamps provided. The staff were so kind and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. Their warmth and hospitality truly made a difference. I would highly recommend Africamps at Stanford Hills for anyone looking for a unique and serene getaway. Would love to return someday!
