The hotel needs updating throughout its quite shabby in areas. Location is great and has access to car parking. When we stayed it was warm and with no air con and a window that opened very slightly it was stifling, the hotel supplied a fan which only circulated hot air around.
Unbeknown to us there were lots of new staff being trained who were left on the desk solo and unfamiliar with anything to do with the hotel. One morning just after 9.30am we were woken by the fire alarm going off! As it continued we had to navigate our way to the fire escape (no signs for this) and downstairs to reception who were oblivious to what was going on! Guests in a panic everywhere! Bad enough you might think! But my husband is disabled not only did I have to navigate him downstairs, but a partially sighted couple also who were panic stricken! After about 10 minutes the Manager appeared and told everyone go back to your rooms it’s a training exercise for new staff!!
Massive complaint gone into head office for their incompetence and lack of care to their guests knowing full well they had disabled guests staying
