Nous y avons séjourné 2 nuits, chambre très propre avec balcon. L’accueil est vraiment super ! Le petit déjeuné très bon. Le gros plus c’est le parking fermé de l’hôtel, car stationner à Guéthary est mission impossible !! Le personnel est vraiment au petit soin, et d’une grande gentillesse. Nous y reviendrons … encore merci ☺️

Hotel à fuir Avons occupés 5 chambres pour 6 nuits réservées depuis juin. Dans le hall d'accueil, avec nos bagages, il nous a fallu attendre 30 mn nos factures, payer immédiatement chambre et petits déjeuners avant d'accéder aux chambres !!! Liste non exhaustive des manquements : toiles d'araignée sur un mur, cheveux dans baignoire, support de serviettes arraché du mur, séchoir en panne, sous bassement de baignoire qui tombe, pas de rayon dans LE placard , chambre poussiéreuse. Petits déjeuners sommaires pour la catégorie de l'hôtel Ton arrogant de la Direction à la suite des réclamations du groupe. En un mot : Hotel à l'abandon.

À 2 pas du centre ville, cette charmante villa offre un style d’antan un peu vintage rehaussée de touches de modernisme… On se sent vite chez soi pour une escapade. Un parking privé est à disposition et donc très appréciable La terrasse fleurie devant l’hôtel est craquante et donc le cadre du petit déjeuner est juste idéal Je recommande

C'est honteux de se présenter comme un hôtel 4 étoiles. Je ne donnerais pas plus qu'une étoile. J'aurais honte à leur place, chambre bruyante, odeur de renfermée et moisissures. Petit déjeuner plus que décevant. Bref l' hôtel est à éviter. Rien de plus à dire.

Le personnel est très serviable. L’hôtel ne mérite pas 4 étoiles et nécessite un sérieux rafraîchissement. L’environnement est bruyant ( voiture moto passants dans la rue) Le petit déjeuner est très moyen pour un prix de 17,5 euros. Globalement déçu

This is an excellent hotel in a lovely coastal town. Private parking was great and the town and sea just a few minutes walk away is very picturesque.

So lucky to have found this gem of a hotel in Guethary for a 1 night stop over on a longer drive. Easy to find, in a beautiful town in a lovely area, plenty of parking and looked great from the outside. Charming and rustic local style room, which was perfect and we loved it. All amenities included. The host was so friendly and welcoming, even calling to check our ETA to make sure we had all entry details in case we would be late. We didn’t try the pool or the breakfast but both looked very good. Lots to do in the area and some fantastic local restaurants within short walking distance. A real pleasure to stay and will certainly book again for another trip in the future. Thank you.

Guéthary is a lovely quiet place with a beautiful beach and great places to eat and drink. The hotel is pretty and perfectly situated but we were attacked by bugs, and the bite marks looked very much like bed bugs, which suggests a surprising level of uncleanliness. One of the receptionists was extremely frosty and we did not feel particularly welcome there. I don't think we quite fit the rich, tanned demographic of the usual visitor. I did pay the same as everyone else, though, so you know, kind of expected nicer service. Ah well

Spent one night on our journey South. Guethary itself is a gem, and I’m delighted we visited, but there is limited accommodation available in the town. There are a surprising amount of highly rated restaurants, and the costal views are spectacular. We booked Catarie because it had parking and a central location. Make sure you ask for the gate code in advance, as parking is tight, and the entrance to the hotel is just before the town road restricted zone. We arrived at lunchtime and were able to easily park and find a nice spot for lunch by the beach. By teatime there was no space left in the car park. We were ‘upgraded ‘ to room 2 on the ground floor, but the room was dated, musty and very hot. We had 2 fans, but they were not enough to cool the room. As we were on the ground floor, I wasn’t comfortable leaving the windows open overnight, so unfortunately didn’t have a great night. The bed itself was comfortable to be fair, and we were not bothered by any external noise. I think it was very expensive for the experience we had.

Everything about this place was absolutely perfect …from the extremely accommodating staff to the fine decor and delicious, authentic breakfast. I’ve seen a review critical of the bed so want to emphasize that it was THE most comfortable bed I’ve slept in during European travel . Large windows and accessible fans kept us cool despite a heat wave and being on the top floor. My favorite stay in years !

Je rédige cet avis quinze jours après notre séjour du 22 mai au 30 mai 2022, le souvenir est toujours aussi vivace et intensément bon. Nous avons été accueillis à la Villa Catarie, après cinq heures de TGV, par Stéphanie et son sourire sincère ainsi que sa voix douce. Nous avons occupé la chambre N°11 qui est spacieuse, propre et bien orientée. Le service est irréprochable très attentionné, les petits déjeuners sont bien achalandés et copieux puisqu'a volonté. Mention spéciale au trio d'accueil : Stéphanie débordante d'humanité, Marine douce et réservée ainsi que Béatrice la mémoire de la villa. Un grand merci pour ce séjour réussi ancré dans notre mémoire Catherine et Laurent
