I loved this quaint inn in Hamilton! It was located near wonderful coffee shops (try Flour and Salt cafe - chocolate chip cookies are the BEST), and a fantastic farmers market on Saturdays! Come hungry! The rooms were spacious and very clean and there was free water in each room and some delicious chocolates! The people who worked at the Inn went above and beyond to help meet our every need, especially Dennis who gave us all kinds of tips on places to run in the area! Highly recommend! Karen

Colgate Inn was an excellent place to stay for business. The hotel was clean, and the decor was stunning. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed for a good night's sleep and a recharge after a long day. The hotel restaurant needs some work in the kitchen, our meals were not what you would expect from a hotel of this caliber, but the staff was friendly. The town of Hamilton is charming. We walked around, shopped at the bookstore and ate at Main Moon (which was excellent) as well as enjoying ice cream every night at Maxwell's. Absolutely would stay here again.

The hotel was wonderful and comfortable. The rooms were a nice size for the two of us that went. The service/staff was nice and pleasant to deal with. The hotel is in walking distance of everything in town, a really nice location. We were only there for a very short time, and didn't eat in the hote, so I can't comment on food. They did have small breakfast items that I saw; muffins, yogurt, coffee, but we had other plans so we didn't eat that. I'd go back without hesitation, hope to get back very soon. I'd recommend it to anyone.

This was my second stay for business and I look forward to my next in a couple of months. My husband joined on this trip and thoroughly enjoyed himself as well. Our servers, Zoey & Megan, were very good. The French onion soup was delish and the whipped feta was incredible! Ruth is so friendly and informative. Always nice to see a familiar, friendly face and someone who's so helpful. She put the fire table on for us to sit around and enjoy, and then put out the s'mores kits (which my husband loved!).

The Colgate Inn is probably the best place to stay at when in Hamilton, NY. Its location, ambiance, attention to detail and overall appearance are excellent. It has the charm of a classical-style building with all the accoutrements necessary to make a stay most comfortable. Its ample parking lot in the back is very convenient. Its proximity to Hamilton's main places of interest a bonus. This is a place where relaxation and comfort go hand in hand, in the beautiful, calm, and peaceful environment of Hamilton, NY. I will stay there again next time I am in town and I highly recommend it to all visitors.

We stayed at the Colgate Inn for three nights. The staff at the front desk and throughout the hotel could not have been nicer to us. All very professional and competent. Good food. We got a great corner room and the price was right. Overall, very pleased. Rob and Alice Schenck

We have been fortunate enough to stay at The Colgate Inn several times over the last couple of years while our children have been students at Colgate. I cannot fully express how special the experience has been. The Inn itself is beautiful and charming. From the moment you walk in, you are warmly greeted , and offered a complimentary glass of champagne. There is also complimentary coffee in the morning , as well as treats throughout the day. The rooms are beautifully decorated and impeccably clean. Many rooms overlook the charming town of Hamilton. The Inn is ideally located in the heart of town and a short walk from campus. Another amazing feature is the Tavern, which has a great bar that gives you all the Colgate vibes, as well as offers delicious food! Holiday time is extraordinarily special at Colgate Inn as well. The lobby and Tavern are decorated beautifully. My husband and I always say that we will continue to visit The Inn even after our kids have graduated!

Beautiful hotel with a friendly and helpful staff. The rooms hold that historic feel with great beds and bathrooms. The showers are completely modern and there is no shortage of hot water. Check out the restaurant, don't pass on the chef's specials. I had the scallops and they were the best I have ever had.

My wife and I stayed at the Inn for 2 nights last week. Actually we booked for one night but extended our stay another night to enjoy another day of cool and comfortable temps. We greatly enjoyed our stay. The room was great - super clean, comfortable, and quiet. The staff are excellent - friendly and helpful. And we enjoyed multiple meals in the Tavern. We're already looking forward to a retrun visit.

Fabulous pet friendly hotel - excellent location in the center of Hamilton. Staff across the board from Reception to restaurants were exceptional and welcoming. Lively bar and good food at Tavern Restaurant Suites and larger rooms are best.

Spent two evenings at the Colgate Inn with two other Colgate Alumni couples. The accomodations at the Colgate Inn were wonderful! The Inn has been updated since our last visit and all for the better! The rooms were spacious (although there were no dressers), clean and comfortable. We ate at the Tavern for both dinner and breakfast and each meals were filling, delicious and high quality serviced. The staff could not be nicer from the moment that we checked in to the servers at the restaurant (Meghan, Shannon & Cheryl). I wish I could give it more than 5 stars!

The stay was wonderful. The occasion was bitter sweet because we were dropping our child at school. But the Colgate Inn took great care of us. Ruth at the front desk made sure everything was perfect for our stay. The location couldn't be better, and we loved the restaurant. The beds are as comfortable as it gets. I hope to be back very soon.

Thank you for your hospitality and for making us always feel so welcomed. Everything was absolutely amazing and every need was catered with utmost perfection. We appreciate all that you do for making our visits consistently feel like a VIP experience. Ruth was also wonderful with the teams returning back. She went out of her way to prepare s’more packages to enjoy by the fire pit. The girls loved it!!! They are all delightful and always eager to help. THANK YOU! The Colgate Inn was the perfect home base for my first time back in Hamilton in many years. The Inn exudes charm, and our rooms were exceptionally clean, comfortable, and well-appointed. We also had a lovely dinner at the Tavern, enjoying the patio on a beautiful summer evening. I look forward to a return visit!
