"Alau” – Unit 202 – is an upper-floor, lofted, ocean-view studio located in Hana Kai’s Mauka Building. The unit accommodates up to 4 guests with 1 queen bed on the main floor and another queen bed in the loft. *Note* SLEEPING IN THE LOFT JUNE THROUGH OCTOBER OS NOT RECOMMENDED, due to the higher temperatures at that time of year. Expanded sliding glass doors open onto a spacious covered lanai with teak furnishings and a breathtaking view of the Pacific ocean and Hana Bay. Porcelain tile floors and counter tops, tub/shower combination with custom tile details and bamboo accents throughout. **Please note** Our units are not equipped with AIR CONDITIONING. As you travel the beautiful Hana Highway through Maui's untouched rainforest, you will be surrounded by breathtaking views, majestic waterfalls and a lush tropical landscape. The trails at Wainapanapa will bring you to fresh-water caves or take you along the coast to spectacular views where you can sometimes see humpback whales as you hike along the cliffs.
