The Hotel exceeded all my expectations! Their dedication to eco-friendly practices are truly impressive. The rooms exuded natural harmony, creating a unique atmosphere of serenity and relaxation. I must highlight their cuisine – made from fresh, natural ingredients, we are focusing on healthy eating and found a lot of options for us. I thoroughly enjoyed every treat and was impressed by the variety of vegetarian and vegan options. In summary, The Barefoot Eco Hotel is a true haven for those who appreciate nature, comfort, and wellness. I highly recommend it to anyone dreaming of a unique and environmentally conscious retreat in the Maldives!

Nous avons séjourné 12 magnifiques nuits au Barefoot eco hotel. Le lieu est idyllique avec une plage magnifique et un jardin luxuriant offrant un cadre paisible sur cette somptueuse île ou y résident des habitants maldiviens. Les chambres sont spacieuses, propres, et la nourriture y est excellente. La plage n’est pas bondée de monde vous trouverez des transats libres à tout moment de la journée. C’est un lieu calme pour des vacances plus que relaxantes aux Maldives. Les excursions qui vous sont proposées sont au top et non onéreuses pour un endroit situé au Maldives. Le staff est très accueillant ainsi que le personnel, serveurs, cuisiniers, room Keeper, personnel de plage, les membres du diving ainsi que la direction. Mention spécial à Shabaj, Sozib, Halim, qui ont été très serviable durant notre séjour et à chaque moment passé au restaurant. Un grand merci également à Muhusin et Nafiz qui ont été plus que agréable , et très chaleureux envers nous tout au long de notre présence au sein de l’établissement. Encore Merci pour votre accueil. Mention spécial également à Charlie du centre diving qui est français et qui s’est occupé de nous et nous a fait découvrir la faune Marine pour notre tout premier baptême de plongée sous marine. Sans lui cela n’aurait pu être possible, c’est une personne très à l’écoute et très rassurante qui nous a permis de passer le cap, il a su nous mettre à l’aise malgré nos craintes pour notre toute première plongée. Grâce a lui nous avons vécu un mmnt formidable et inoubliable durant notre séjour au Maldives. Merci à lui de nous avoir pris en charge tout au long de notre présence au sein du Barefoot. It was my first trip to the Maldives. I chose the hotel based on Tripadvisor reviews and never regretted the choice I made. This location is suitable for people like me - who need a quiet, uncrowded place where they can get closer to nature, and for those who care about nature. The rooms were quite good. I booked seaside room, but for the first 4 days I stayed in ocean view room, it was a gift from the hotel. The food was good quality, though not too varied. The hotel and services are well described in reviews from other tourists, in my review I would like to thank the hotel team. These were very friendly, kind people who were ready to do everything to make your stay comfortable. I'm very grateful to everyone: the chef, waiters, tailors, reception staff, diving center staff, bartenders - all were beautiful people, ready to help at any time! I especially want to thank the receptionist Victor. Victor was always ready to help on all issues, even willing to sacrifice his personal time to make your vacation better. Since I was alone on vacation, he offered to accompany me on my first bike ride to the village, he always came up and asked if everything was okay. Hotel managers, please reward him for his dedication to work! :) I have the best impression of the hotel, its employees and Hanimadhoo Island, I will definitely come back here again and hope to see familiar faces! p.s. for those who is going to the Maldives for the 1st time - take good care to protect your skin from the sun!

The Barefoot Eco Hotel made our stay unforgettable and so wonderful. We have already been to other islands. But this time everything was very, very good!!! Daminda Ranasinghe Reservations Executive and Diksan Wijerathna Reservations Manager did an excellent job - they helped us choose a room, explained the conditions for transfer to the island, answered all questions quickly and in detail. Thank you! Every morning at the restaurant we were greeted by Sozib with a kind smile and greeting in Russian. This is how our every day began and it was very pleasant. Sozib personally served us and was always attentive, neat and caring. Thank you! We liked the beach - such large, clean and soft sand. The delightfully clear ocean has an extraordinary color, shimmering in all shades: from dark indigo blue to transparent turquoise. And a lot of fish. Delight! Dear The Barefoot Eco Hotel team! Abbiamo festeggiato in questo Resort le nozze d’oro. Resort italo-svizzero eco sostenibile immerso in un meraviglioso giardino tropicale curato nei minimi particolari che accoglie, coccola e stimola l'ospite al rispetto della natura garantendo tranquillità e relax. Le strutture in legno hanno camere vista mare o vista oceano tutte estremamente confortevoli e spaziose arredate in stile maldiviano. La lunghissima spiaggia privata di bianchissima sabbia corallina è attrezzata con lettini e ombrelloni sempre a disposizione e consente di godere di queste meraviglie: mare azzurro dai colori cangianti e tramonti mozzafiato. Insomma un paradiso! Infatti da tempo volevamo andare alle Maldive ma senza il super lusso che di norma viene proposto per questo tipo di meta. Il resort si trova in un’isola abitata, Hanimadoo, raggiungibile a piedi in pochi minuti o in bicicletta noleggiabile presso la reception. Noi siamo andati a piedi perché così abbiamo goduto di ogni dettaglio del paese di circa 2500 persone. Trattandosi di un paese musulmano si raccomanda un dress code adeguato nel rispetto dei suoi abitanti e delle loro usanze. Cucina buonissima molto varia e tutto hand made atta a soddisfare tutte le esigenze anche le più pretenziose. Pesce squisito, in particolare il carpaccio di tonno di cui ancora ricordo il gusto e che mi manca, moltissima verdura sempre variata per tutti i gusti sia cruda che cotta, varietà di dolci infinita e la spettacolare confettura di papaya. Una vera leccornia! Resort adatto a tutti, dalle coppie alle famiglie con bambini. Possibilità giornaliere i escursioni e immersioni presso il centro diving. Personale molto gentile, sempre sorridente, che mette a proprio agio il turista e si adopera a fare in modo che il cliente sia soddisfatto. Non ho mai incontrato persone così disponibili. Un particolare ringraziamento alla General Menager, signora Raffaella che con cordialità e simpatia asseconda e coccola i clienti. Ci ristornerei domani nonostante il viaggio di andata sia stato un po’ tortuoso ma la calorosa accoglienza ce lo ha fatto dimenticare in fretta. Questo viaggio ci ha ritemprati e per ora viviamo di ricordi. Grazie a tutti di tutto! E chissà! Mai dire mai …

C'est un joli hôtel sur une île habitée des Maldives, il est immergé dans une très belle végétation et sa plage est superbe. Tout est très bien organisé par cet hôtel, de l'accueil à l'aéroport de Malé jusqu'au départ. L'ambiance y est reposante, très agréable, on y mange très bien tant au buffet qu'au snack. Tout le personnel est très aimable. Les chambres sont bien équipées (il manque cependant shampoing et après-shampoing et l'eau de la douche est rarement assez chaude). Il y a des activités nautiques, du yoga, une salle de gym, une jolie piscine, prêt de vélo, une boutique de souvenirs. Mention spéciale pour le diving center et surtout l'instructeur Charlie : j'ai fait 10 plongées, à chaque fois différentes et très belles (requins, tortues, poulpe, raies pastenagues et raies aigles... les sites de plongée sont magnifiques), Charlie est très professionnel, patient et pédagogue, il a même eu la gentillesse de nous filmer et nous prendre en photo pendant les plongées, j'ai gagné en confiance en plongée (je suis Advanced Open Water mais avec seulement une dizaine de plongées à l'arrivée), d'autres plongeurs de niveau beaucoup plus avancé que moi ont été aussi très satisfaits. Cela a contribué à la réussite de mon séjour. Vous pouvez aller dans ce club de plongée en toute confiance, il y a des plongées pour tous les niveaux.

The Barefoot Eco Hotel is an amazing place, not only to relax and escape work life but also to enjoy the beautiful atmosphere as well as nature of the Maldives. Thus, one of my main reasons to come to the hotel was to practise diving. The hotel has its own diving centre and offers different courses but also daily trips to various dive sites, depending on the weather conditions. According to one’s level, the friendly and highly supporting divemaster Luca, Charlie as well as the rest of the crew were taking us guests on breathtaking dives. Even if one doesn’t have any equipment, the centre provides everything for you. The trips have always been well-organised and within a few minutes with the Dhoni (traditional Maldivian boat), one reaches the most beautiful dives sites in the Maldives. Both, Luca and Charlie, were taking care of everything and everyone at all times, explaining the dives in detail and with full of joy. By sharing their experiences and knowledge about diving and the underwater world, I have learned a lot about all kinds of marine life and the sport itself. Under water, I was able to experience excellent reefs with an abundance of marine life. From dolphins, turtles, sharks, rays and clownfishes to lionfishes, morays and huge pufferfishes, I have experienced the beauty of the surrounding dive sites. Each dive has been absolutely amazing and a once-in-a-lifetime experience which I’ll never forget. I wish I would have stayed longer to enjoy more of it. My expectations have been exceeded and I can not wait to be back in the ocean soon. I had so much fun and really appreciate the friendliness and expertise of Charlie and Luca.
