寶馬別墅和温泉酒店(Braemar Lodge And Spa)

We stayed 2 nights in the deluxe spa suite and were moderately satisfied. Given the price of the room and coming from a 5 star hotel we expected better. the wallpaper was torn off in certain places and camouflaged by something, the mini bar was not complete. the instructions for the bathroom spa not super clear. The shower was also not completely waterproof. Too bad not to have real sheets for the cover. however, we enjoyed the view and the jacuzzi. comfortable bedding. for the breakfast option, not at all up to the standard of a 5 star, and that's a shame. also disappointed, the 2nd evening we wanted to order cocktails for happy hour, the bartender being present told us that the bar was closed for that evening and when we asked if we could have them in our room we were told said no you can order only food , why? while the bartender was present, is this laziness? The hotel spa amenities were all out of order as well. At this price and claiming 5 stars we were quite disappointed

I was a bit disappointed. I was expecting this to be a 5 star place, but there were a lot of things that were definitely not 5 stars. The robes were grey and didn't cover bigger people. One of them had pilling all over it, I didn't want to even wear it. The bathroom door squeaked loudly, so if one person got up to the toilet in the middle of the night, it woke the other person up. There were instructions on how to use the spa bath, but not on how to put the plug in. It didn't just plug in normally. We weren't able to use it on our first night which was very frustrating as it was one of our main attractions. I rang housekeeping the next day. Someone came and had a look and said that you had to turn a know on the side of the spa, how would anyone know that? The lock on the door to outside was broken and a small slide lock had been put on. Why not fix the main lock? I used the toilets to the side of the library and when I washed my hands, the tap was all loose and wobbled round. All these things are little but show that the lodge needs to have things fixed or updated. For $300 per night, you expect the best. The worse thing was on our last morning, we got to breakfast about 8:45, the restaurant closes at 9:30 am. There was continental and scrambled eggs and bacon. At about 9:00 am they stopped bringing out anymore bread to toast. No more croissants, eggs or bacon were brought out. There were about 6 tables with guests and everyone kept going up and checking, but they didn't refill. People were saying, they must have run out of food! But for some reason the waiter kept lifting the lids to the egg and bacon to see what was in there, but of course there was nothing as he hadn't refilled it and he was the only waiter!! I was really disappointed and wouldn't recommend it, unless you are getting a really good discount.

Good hotel that is well located. Got upgraded into a bigger room.

Nobody at reception desk at 5.15 on arrival. Transported own luggage (some distance) via lift and long corridor. Breakfast was quite adequate. Did not have dinner in hotel. Very large room, but no drawers for unpacking clothes, so had to use suitcases. Large double bath/spa needs grab handles for safety. Had lovely weather for three days.

This was our third stay at Braemar lodge. The rooms are lovely, comfortable and spacious with great views. Everyone is very professional and friendly. The only downside is that the breakfast is now a rather plain buffet and I hope they will return to an a la carte in the future when circumstances allow. Fabulous evening meals. Overall a great stay.

The staff were really lovely, and the property was clean, quiet and absolutely beautiful!

Bad service, breakfast 20+ min late, no one at reception for mid morning checkout. Not lenient or helpful when wanting to try checkin at 230 not the usual 3pm even when we had a young child needing sleep. Spa still not open after being closed in Jan and overall seems old and run down

Honestly quite disappointing. Our toilet was broken on checkin, and wardrobe wouldn't stay shut. The bathroom in dining / common area was cleaned to a low standard. Incorrect / out of date information in the rooms info book and spa instructions. Wallpaper peeling off in room and common areas, signs of mould growth on bathroom ceiling. Soap skum not cleaned off shower lass. Fire in room has a pilot flame which cant be turned off and makes the room too warm. Balcony windows / wall not cleaned regularly, taking away from the view. Balcony doors don't have a latch to stay open. Website said spa was closed, but did not mention the Gym was too. Room service took over an hour to arrive... Paid for a luxury get away for my birthday and all I got was disappointment.
