The Laura Hotel, Houston Downtown, Autograph Collection

Excellent stay. If you're doing anything close to The Toyota Center or House of Blues, this is the most convenient place to stay. Have a drink at the hotel bar and then walk to The House of Blues that is essentially connected to it. Or, the Toyota Center across the street. Dirt Bar and Reserve 101 are also great places to hang out and have a drink right across the street. Hotel was clean, comfortable and service was great. Highly recommend.

I booked 2 rooms for a family visit. The hotel is relatively clean but the service was terrible. Our bath was out of all washing liquids and no one was answering the housekeeping phone or any other extensions. We had to go to the front desk multiple times and it took them 24 hrs to get us some shampoo and clean towels in one of the rooms. In the other room, we had a malfunctioning mini-bar and they were kind enough to offer us a $35 credit. Last point to keep in mind when you book: The only parking option you have with this hotel is $50/day valet. There is no self-parking within the facility. However, there is a public garage across the street.

I had high expectations of this hotel after reading its reviews. Sadly it wasn’t as expected. When we arrived there was vomit at the entrance door. An amazing room with great views but lacking basics like a full body mirror and hooks or bars for towels. Lamps, safe and mini bar that didn’t work so had to call for them to be fixed. Only one restaurant with limited staff and hours of operation. Was charged $40 for cake and ice cream from room service. Great pool area but no service during 4th of July weekend. Just a lot of details that weren’t up to the standards of the category of this hotel.

Before I booked, I was told the room had a bath tub. When I arrived, it did not have a bathtub. They told me they would move me into one that did. The room they moved me into was a downgrade. The towels in my room were dirty. There was trash in the lobby and in the elevators. The pool was cloudy and dirty. Gross overall.

Todo estuvo muy bien, solo no le gustó que todoooo el Hotel huele a comida, hasta la habitación hay olor a comida eso no es muy agradable para los huéspedes

The air conditioning wasn’t working properly my entire stay. I also left my key in my room and when I return around 12pm there was no one around sho understood English. House keeping was probably clean the room or supplying bath towels was clothes as need. The last day it was 80 degrees in our room I made another complaint I was finally move and when ask for accommodation for my inconvenience I waa offered a $50 food credit fir a party of three.

Realmente a actitud de servicio y ayuda del personal es pésimo. No tienen ganas de trabajar ni ayudar. Las toallas de mi cuarto estaban sucias y eso me dio desconfianza de toda la Limpeza en general. Te cobran 58 dólares diarios por usar el estacionamiento !!!!!!!

Overall great experience, lovely hotel. Staff was great 👍 very friendly and accommodating. The only drawbacks were the initial valet person when I arrived, he seemed a little pushy for a tip. RE: quality of the room - the bathroom floor was sticky on my bare feet. Made me feel very icky. Otherwise, nice, clean and orderly, normal hotel room. Loved the sophisticated modern design and cool city view, even if the view was 75% a high rise office building and a parking lot.
