I stayed one night only but had a spacious and clean room with a comfortable bed which was great. I enjoyed the evening meal, though choices were limited, and a very good buffet breakfast. The hotel was conveniently situated next to the train station which was ideal for me. The staff were friendly and welcoming too.

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! Housekeeping was shoddy. Shelves for clothes very dusty carpets not cleaned. Bathroom floors not cleaned. Had to wait 10 minutes to be seated at breakfast, then another 20 minutes for someone to take the order. One girl on her own trying her best to take orders no help. Breakfast cam 20 minutes afterwards and was awful!! Never again!!!

The hotel was so understaffed , it was ridiculous. The staff that were working were very polite and helpful. We felt so sorry for them. The fan in the bathroom did not work, and the bathroom was full of steam for hours. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. But premier inn need to get the staffing issues sorted out. Will not use them again

Hotel is in a great location. Just 2 mins walk to train station for trains into Harrogate. Plenty of free parking. The hotel was just severely understaffed. Had to search for someone on check in. 1 guy serving breakfast. He was working so hard, but he needed help! This made breakfast very poor. No one on the desk on check out so couldn't leave feedback.

1. Upon arrival I requested a meal deal only to be told that an evening meal was not available due "equipment issues". 2. On Friday morning, notes pertained that there would be only a continental breakfast available. However this consisted of only toast and cereal and was informed that a refund would be made (no refund forthcoming). 3. On Friday evening I was informed that no evening meal was available (again) due to "equipment issues" however it was apparent that this was a staffing issue and that I was told lies as to the reason. 4. On Saturday evening I was able to have an evening meal however having been seated for a while I had to chase a member of staff to take my order who subsequently had to check with the replacement chef if the order was possible to fulfil. 5. When asking reception about room cleaning I was told that only towel replacement and bin emptying would be possible. IN SUMMARY: I was completely disappointed with my stay having to find alternative food in a local area which sported only one other, rather expensive, restaurant. On the other occasion I had to go to a supermarket to pick up cold food for my evening meal. I would expect a hotel chain of your reputation to have enough staff cover to facilitate meals and breakfasts as on the Friday there was only 1 member of staff covering reception and the restaurant. I would like a refund of the breakfast as stipulated by the receptionist on the Friday morning in question.

This trip to the hotel was the worst we have experienced at this particular hotel, which we have stayed at several times previously. We had booked for breakfast only but usually stay in the hotel for our evening meal but on arrival we were told that we could not have a meal in the restaurant as they did not have enough staff luckily we managed to get into the Italian restaurant across the road and arranged to have a meal at the Kestrel on the following evening. This not the usual service we have come to expect from Premier Inn.

Since our last visit in Sept 22 standards have declined. It is no longer as clean anywhere in the building nor are staff as friendly ( odd exception ) as on our previous visit. Very disappointed, probably won’t stay here again, location good.

Room was typical premier style.. clean and good ..corridors need attention to detail.. fans from kitchen came on early doors and woke me up think the matteress needs changing..not sure how old it is ... woke with aching shoulders ..

There was limited members of staff. The barman was under 18, so could not serve alcohol. We asked to order and was told to wait 10 to 15 minutes. 20 minutes later we asked again and were told we had to wait another 10 minutes. We have an autistic daughter who was hungry and could not understand why she had to wait. The mixed grill, in particular was undercooked. There were no eggs or tomatoes and we were only told this when the order was served. The lager was so lively that I never received a full pint. Bathroom door was creaky, plus there was an alarm sound coming constantly from the bathroom. Breakfast was cold and undercooked. The worst Premier Inn I have ever stayed in!!

Couldn’t ask for more everything was spot on , clean tidy room , comfortable beds and mrs loves a bath so was a bonus and the host david was a top bloke too!

Perfect stay; Christmas with family nearby. Hotel quiet, clean, unfussy, the right temperature, comfortable bed, easy access, no hassle! Great decision ! Thank you Xx

Friendly welcome, very helpful with questions, and offered useful advice without request. Comfortable room, great value for money. We actually planned to stay in York, but it’s was very expensive for the Saturday night, so we diverted to Harrogate for one night and went to York on the Sunday. So pleased we did because Harrogate is a lovely place. So easy to get into the town centre - train is on the other side of the carpark, cheap, one stop, only a few minutes ride, with regular trains. Can also walk (30 mins) but we wanted to take advantage of the time.

Room was filthy with dust behind bathroom door and under the bed (my daughter's teddy went under there and came out disgusting). TV had an HDMI port which didn't work. Reported to reception who said they'd ask maintenance to fix but never happened. Also, when we arrived, there were only two cups (for family of four) in the room and no coffee, only tea. Had to go down to reception to get more. Also, not enough toilet paper was provided for family of four, so again had to ask reception for more. No bedside cabinet provided on the left side of the bed either, very inconvenient during the night. Finally, when we went down to the restaurant on the final day for breakfast, the eggs were like rubber, the hash browns were destroyed, no mushrooms, pain au chocolat or bananas were available and the lady asked me to pay up front, which I've never been asked to do before and felt very distrustful and rude.

Dave the receptionist could not do enough for us, we were doing a charity walk in the morning so he opened the restaurant early and gave us free sausage sernies. Top hotel. Room was clean and very comfy.
