Catering was ill prepared to cater for the avalanche of guests but they adapted and it got better Reception on arrival was chaotic - you could have done better. We were not told to go to the other building for the penthouse, so went to Room 1202 in the hotel building, and had to move over to the other. No porter assistance ... but the Maintenance men were most helpful Maintenance in the penthouse was sorely needed - we did put in a report ... door keys didn't work, then stove wasn't working. Shocking in the two bedded rooms that the bathrooms are CLEAR glass giving n privacy !- and the SIZE compared to the rest of the suite were TOO small The toillet off the main living area blocked ... this was quickly and effectively sorted out I am also unhappy that the R3,000 taken off my credit card would take so long to be credited - to date nothnig has been received Outside the bargeboards are falling off. Overall the grand lady has not been well maintained and needs some TLC NB My rating of the value reflects the smaller double rooms

It was all absolutely fabulous. From check in to check out. The staff were ever so friendly and helpful. I was blown away with the meal presentations and quality - excellent on all counts. My room was fantastic - the view to die for - except we were in total mist from the outside weather for our entire stay . Out of the hotels control. All in all a fantastic time. Thank you to all your staff.

A very poor hotel, definitely not 4*, although lobby area gives impression of being far grander than it is. Our problems included: - room was very dirty - this picture is of my childrens bunk bed. - dirty rug - shower leaked so much so it flooded bedroom area - draft from balcony door which blew the curtain - handed laundry in at 7pm and were assured it would be ready the following day however when we tried to collect it the following day at 8pm it had not even been sent to laundry and was still in reception - breakfast was disappointing and very small

The most courteous and helpful receptionist and staff ever, as well as a nice and positive first impression of the hotel. Everything about the hotel was excellent.great view from balcony room. It was clean, stylish, and spacious, with good service where we ate dinner. Food was good and fantastic value for money, and the service was attentive and efficient defenitely visiting soon :)

What an absolutely beautiful place! We were impressed from when we walked in the doors to when we checked out. The staff were amazing, friendly and efficient. The view from the rooms are outstanding (wow). We really enjoyed our evening and the restaurant was top class, as well as the staff being very pleasant. Breakfast the next morning was simply wonderful, so much to choose from. We will definitely be returning!

Nice view and location and room was spacious but there were cockroaches in the room. It was reported to the staff on duty who moved me to the room next door. The manager on duty next day had no idea what happened…found that strange and not very attentive. To pay over R2k for 1 night for this hotel and get cockroaches….unacceptable. Definitely not worth it and would rather go somewhere else.

Room was perfect. View was excellent! Breakfast was great!! Overall service was excellent. The only negative was toilet in breakfast area was leaking water, so the floor was wet. Overall no complaints!! Will recommend Diaz Hotel to everyone!!

Great facility... beautiful scenery... friendly personal and service... early morning long walks on the beach, just the two us us... calm a**osphere...safe environment...value for money... the one place to return to...
