This place never fails to impress each time we go. We attended a birthday lunch for 45 people and it was great. Being in the conservatory and being able to use the garden was great. The food was great and the staff, as always, were brilliant. We will certainly be returning soon. *****

Stayed two nights. The hotel was welcoming and the staff were brilliant during our stay. Our room was clean and tidy, tea and coffee was ample. We ate every evening in their restaurant the meals were excellent and portions good, breakfast was included in our price and again portions were excellent. Overall we enjoyed our visit and would not hesitate to book again if we’re in the area again.

This small family run hotel is a great place to stay. We have taken advantage of the EV charger here on recent trips to Norfolk and have always found the staff and owner to be very friendly and helpful. This time we decided to stay the night. We were very happy with the quality of the room, it was clean, well appointed with a mini fridge, tea and coffee making facilities and all the things you would expect for a comfortable stay. We had an evening meal and breakfast. There was a selection of choices and the meals were very good, served promptly by lovely staff. Although not open at this time of year there is also a swimming pool in the grounds. I would recommend this as a very good place to stay in the heart of the county.

Had a great family Xmas day lunch at this country hotel and it was such a lovely afternoon with fantastic all round service .. The food was fresh and plenty of it and nothing was too much trouble if you wanted more veg or gravy everything was attended to The staff were superb and couldn’t do enough for us and everything ran so smoothly they did really well for such a busy day The family have used the old rectory for years now for weddings and wakes it’s such good value and has great customer service which you rarely find nowadays .. being family run makes all the difference .. Thankyou Ian Becky Maddie and the whole team for making our Xmas lunch so warm and special and feel like home Great service great value for weddings and wakes which we have held there throughout the years .. give it a try you won’t be disappointed

We went for a night for our anniversary and never been more disappointed.. got into bed to find a large toe nail in the bed ..yuk ...walking around in bare feet and stood in something hard and it was somebody's hard skin ..made me want to be sick so I them checked all the room and no one had hoovered under the bed it was the honeymoon sweet and there was red petal etc under the bed ..have emailed them twice and they even bothered to get back to me ...disgusted

Excellent staff work very hard and stretched a little thin, one person on reception covering bar and restaurant. Heaters are not sufficent for room, made it just warm even on full, room could have been warm on arrival but was fridge like

A pleasant experience. The property is looking a bit tired in places. The staff and food are excellent. I would recommend this hotel and intend on returning.

Had a really nice stay here. Plenty of parking beautifully lit tree at the front of the hotel. On arrival the receptionist was very friendly and took me to my room just a short walk from reception. The room was spacious with a comfortable double bed. Tea coffee and water in the room. TV was a bit on the small side and no sockets next to the bed. Reception loaned me an extension lead which was good of them. Dinner was in an enormous conservatory and the sea bass was excellent. Breakfast was also served there and again service and food was pretty good. The bathroom and water pressure was 10/10. Overall excellent value for money beautiful grounds and there was even an outdoor pool which was closed for the winter season. I’d stay here again if given the opportunity.

The room was large and comfortable,. The food was great with local products for breakfast. We had a very warm welcome and Ian, the owner, and his staff where all very pleasant and helpful. The Old Rectory is set in lovely gardens and location of the hotel is ideal for Norwich and The Broads, both only 15 minutes away.
