毛伊島海洋俱樂部-摩洛凱、毛伊及拉奈別墅萬豪度假會度假酒店(Marriott's Maui Ocean Club - Molokai, Maui & Lanai Towers)

We stayed in the main hotel section, not the towers. This stay was our first major disappointment as vacation club owners. The room was very dated and not well-maintained. There were drink ring stains on the furniture and shelving, for example. The bathrooms had visible wear and tear such as paint and scuff marks. The hotel lobby and common areas looked shabby and run down. I was honestly shocked when we arrived at the appearance of the property. We only ate one meal on-site. It was mediocre at best and extremely overpriced for what we had. We decided not to eat on-sight again after that. This hotel needs to step up its game. It is not on par with other Marriott resorts and not worth the vacation club points we spent to stay there.

Wir sind am Sonntag, 5.November angekommen. Erster Eindruck: Unfreundlicher Empfang an der Reception, um nicht zu sagen barscher Tonfall. Zugewiesene Zimmereinheit wie gebucht 2 Bedroom. Aber...4.Stock, Blick auf den Parkplatz. Room 4307/08. Auf die Frage bzw. Bitte, nach einer besseren Einheit..Aussage: Wir sind voll gebucht. Es besteht keine andere Moeglichkeit. Und....Reservierung ueber Interval generell Island View und niedrige Stockwerke. Diskriminierend, wenn man bedenkt, dass wir Marriott Owner sind, zwar nicht in Maui sondern Marriott Beach Place Fort Lauderdale und wir uns immerhin mit 2,000 USD an den Maintenence kosten beteiligen. Die Anlage selbst ist sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Die Klimaanlage pfeift zuweilen wie ein Duesenflugzeug, die Waschmaschine gibt ebenfalls seltsame laute Rumpelgeraeusche von sich. Das Personal ist, was wir bisher feststellen mussten zum ueberwiegenden Teil muerrisch und lustlos. Gruessen tut keiner.Wir sind noch bis Samstag, den 11.11. im Resort,aber hier nicht gluecklich. Wir waren vorher eine Woche in Oahu im Marriott Ko Olina, was eine gaenzlich andere Klasse ist und waren dort auch sehr zufrieden. Zu erwaehnen ist noch, dass das Resort keinen eigenen Strand hat. Bilder auf der Homepage sind veraltet. Zusammengefasst, wir freuen uns auf unseren Rueckflug.

Don’t be lured into a sales pitch while visiting the property. Worst investment of our lives. We spent over $25,000 for points that we could not use. You should not have to spend significantly more money for more points (another $10,000-15,000 so you have the ability to book a trip when and where you would like. Also, I had to make muliple calls to receive rental car vouchers. Nothing is ever done correctly and you can expect long hold times and several angry phone calls to get something you paid for. The company does not do as promised and it is a huge scam. We actually sold our points to a reputable buyer and Marriott exercised their right to buy the properties back. Once again I am getting a complete runaround regarding the disbursement of funds that are not even 25% of what we paid. I received an email stating funds would be disbursed 7-10 days after May 10th. It is June 5th and nothing. Nobody answers the phone and when they did I was told that the settlement department does not have a phone and it was not possible to speak with a manager directly. When I asked to receive a call back, it never happened. Please don’t invest your hard-earned money for this scam. I promise you that you will regret it!! Oh, plus you have almost $2,000
In annual maintenance fees for properties you can not access. That is the price of a vacation. If this review prevents one person from making the mistake we did, it was worth it. I would not want anyone I cared for to invest in this scam so feel free to notify anyone that attends a sales pitch about this review. They make it sound so wonderful and their script is very convincing. Also, I did contact Marriott resale when we were not happy about our purchase to sell our points back. I was told that they do not do that. Well they do buy them back if you are trying to sell the properties for a fraction of the price on the open market. They are happy to exercise their right of first refusal and they probably resell the points for four to five times the amount you are basically dumping them for. Put it this way, they just keep selling points to people who do not have the ability to use them. Can you sell a house to three different families but only two of them can live in it? That’s what’s going on here!!

The good: -valet parking is great -bed was comfortable -there is an outlet with multiple plugs near the bed including USB connections -there is a large safe in the room in the closet. The bad: -my room had no view. your platinum elite status here means nothing -2 washers were not working and had signs indicating this while I was there -people leave their towels on the pool chairs and don't remove. no one to enforce this. very frustrating especially when hot and no chairs under umbrellas -$50 extra if you want to rent beach chairs... other resorts have this included -maintenance came to look at my fridge and told me to store my ice cream with concierge since the ice cream would melt in the room. I chose not to listen and the ice cream was fine but can assume that most room freezers don't work properly (with the small fridge/freezer combo) -there is no adult pool here. kids are everywhere. I would rather stay at a place with an adult pool for peace and quiet. -no housekeeping during your stay. -my room had a connecting door and could hear a baby crying most of the time overall would not return here.

We are here currently on night 6 of 7. Absolutely amazing place to stay. I don’t think I have ever stayed in a hotel where the staff were so friendly and accommodating. The beach is incredible for surfing, boogie boarding and snorkeling. Pools are never crowded. I love all the lounge chairs on the grass lawn. The grounds are beautiful. The views are out of this world from our one bedroom 2 bath villa. It was perfect for a family of 2 adults and 2 teens. Easy walk to Whalers Village. Easy drive to Lahaina. I can’t believe anyone could ever complain about anything at this resort. Simply amazing and I am so sad to leave.

So annoyed. We stayed here in November and booked a different tower with a full kitchen. We booked again thinking it was the same but this tower has a fridge and microwave. Then there was a plumbing issue and they made us move rooms in the middle of the night with no apologies or accommodations. They lost my business.

Hotel and all amenities were great! Very clean and everyone very friendly. Lots is chairs near pools and by the ocean to relax on. Various Food options on site and close to Whaler Village for food and shopping.
