奧特瑞格卡納帕利海灘度假村(Outrigger Kaanapali Beach Resort)

Die Unterkunft liegt super, direkt bei Kaanapali Besch. Die neu renovierten Zimmer sind sehr schön und sauber. Ebenfalls ist man innert 5 Minuten zu Fuss bei Whalers Village wo man tolle Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Restaurants hat. Leider muss man für die Liegen am Strand extra bezahlen. Das Zimmer wird nur jeden zweiten Tag gemacht, jedoch wird der Abfall täglich geleert.

Seems unfair that I'm rating this property since I didn't stay here. My rating is based on the fact that I was not notified that our reservation was cancelled. We arrived and were notified at the property that we couldn't stay there as the resort was closed, with good reason of course. Just upsetting that we were not informed ahead of time so we can make other arrangements. I had called 2 weeks prior to confirm our reservation and they said we were good to go. We had find another place to stay for the week.

We stayed here for the last night of 14 days in Hawaii and this was by far, the most disappointing location (out of 5) for the following reasons: - The hotel was old and dated and felt like it was from the 70's / 80's with dingy carpet and color schemes. - Very small bathroom. - The shampoo / conditioner they offered was very watery and not good quality. - The thermostat was manual and not digital so it was hard to get the temperature right. - The bed was very lumpy and I ended up sleeping at an angle all night. - They were going through an ownership change and the one night we were there, the restaurant was completely closed. - Hula classes they said were going to be offered were not actually available when my wife went to register in the morning. We "splurged" for a resort for our last night. And while the beach itself was huge and looked very nice, the hotel itself was very disappointing. We had very high expectations for the quality after paying $360+ for the room. But it was very disappointing and it was unfortunate that our last night in Hawaii was spent at this location. It felt like a big letdown from the other amazing locations we had been at across Maui and the Big Island. Then, when we went to checkout, the front desk ended up charging us for the room that we had already prepaid for on ********** so clearly their software isn't working correctly either. Luckily I caught it before we left and had to wait while they figured it out and reversed the charges.

I have never been to a hotel where I felt like I was in a motel in the 70s. Nothing was upgraded and it smelled so bad inside that I had to run outside. My friend’s room was also so smelly and musty but not as bad as mine, they provided her with a dyson fan to rid the smell but I had to move to another room in the same building. Still stinky but not as bad. Asked to get an upgrade to their somewhat “renovated” room but it was going to cost me another $286 more a night! Ridiculous! ********** gave me $150 credit but not even going to make a dent if you upgrade. The location was perfect but I feel like I don’t want to walk on the carpet and tile afraid to get infections since they look so old and dirty. Doors, cabinets, walls, paint, furniture. everything are yuck!!! They remove the light cover and the ceiling is exposed with all the pipes showing. Outrigger needs to do something!!

I can't recommend this hotel due to multiple issues. The main attraction, the beach, is a disappointment. With 470 rooms, they offer a mere seven beach umbrellas for rent and limited loungers and equipment. Guests are forced to spend time under the harsh Hawaiian sun. Even if you secure an umbrella, they relegate you to the furthest part of the beach from the ocean, which is challenging if you have kids. Anything rented must be watched all day; step away for an hour, and they remove your items. Moreover, their ******* page is misleading, stating a surcharge applies only to cabanas, when in fact, all accessories have a fee. The only free items are beach towels and Cultural Center sessions. The hotel isn't child-friendly either. Their medium-sized pool lacks a separate kids' area, and without a lifeguard, constant vigilance is required. Overall, this place feels cheap and greedy.
