博可思睦酒店(Boxmoor Lodge Hotel)

This is a lovely venue in which to stay, The surroundings are beautiful and although the rather uninspiring town of Hemel Hempstead is just a short drive away, the chilterns are equally close. Breakfast is good and the staff are really nice and helpful.

Large room with pleasant outlook. The room is a little tired and could do with some simple improvements: dripping tap, shower curtains, extra pillow. Breakfast staff were friendly and helpful.

The bathroom was not of a decent standard. We did not want to shower as it looked unhygienic. There was no soap! The cooked breakfast was disappointing. Especially when I found I had to pay extra for it! I have not ever given a hotel bad feedback but this was really disappointing. The exterior looked lovely. Just shows you cannot judge a book by its cover!

The hotel was run without any staff onsite, breakfast wasn’t anything special, I tried to checkout and manager didn’t seem to want to be bothered, I had to insist on a receipt which was produced but with no VAT number and after my stay I received a phone call saying that I hadn’t paid even though I was assured that payment had been taken. Very unprofessional service.

Poor the fact no greeting from staff, had to call a number. Did not get cooked breakfast as paid for and advertised !, continental breakfast was toast tinned fruit and box serial very poor indeed

Neither bath or shower worked, I was moved to another room. Bed was rock hard. Hotel is very dated and noisy with trains going past every few minutes.

A functional bed and breakfast/hotel with exceptional service at breakfast. we were made to feel very welcome

Spotlessly clean rooms, warm, comfortable with excellent quality towels etc. superb breakfast, and very friendly staff. I highly recommend this accommodation.
