Mosselberg on Grotto Beach

Alles war perfekt.... Besonders gut hat uns die Lage und die Grösse respektive das Design des Hotels gefallen. Unsere Suite (Honeymoon) hatte nicht nur einen unschlagbaren Ausblick vom Balkon, sondern bestach auch durch ihre Grösse und ihre Aufteilung.

Architektur, Interieur und einfach alles sehr geschmackvoll! Sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Chefin und sehr zuvorkommendes Personal! Sehr liebevolles und wunderbares Frühstück! Tolle Lage und Blick, direkt am Meer! Wir kommen wieder!

The hotel is located in the perfect spot, near to the beach, perfect for a walk. Staff is great and very helpful. Breakfast 10/10. Everything is very clean and well maintained, just perfect! Only stayed for one night unfortunately, definitely a mistake.

Our first trip to South Africa - we had the privilege of staying at Mosselberg on Grotto Beach in Hermanus. A charming spot and a beautifully designed and managed inn. The architecture is outstanding (sorry, I'm an architect). We stayed in an enormous suite with expansive views of the ocean. Every detail of this modern, sophisticated facility has been carefully considered and beautifully designed. The service and food are also special - service is always available but not obtrusive if we wanted privacy. We travel often and this spot is a memorable highlight.

We loved this boutique hotel, we had 2 amazing rooms, the Sugarbird and Southern Right suites, fabulous space and views and good value for money. Appreciated the heated swimming pool (only one of our trip) and the table tennis. Lovely breakfast and friendly service. We had chilly weather and the fires made it super cosy. Only downside was the lack of ability to cope with load shedding- no lights in the bathroom, this was the worst experience we had over 2 weeks. Luckily it didn’t have a major impact as times coincided when we were out for dinner, I understand they have plans to counteract this in the future. Location is absolutely stunning and much better in my opinion than being right in busy central Hermanus.

My wife and I stayed at Mosselberg for 3 nights and cannot compliment it high enough. We stayed in a huge bedroom suite overlooking Grotto Beach and the views were outstanding. The room was spotlessly clean with an incredible attention to detail including a little extra surprise drink on turndown. The breakfast included everything you would require from fresh fruit to pastries and a huge variety of hot food. Overall a great find and we will be back.

The staff was very nice and very helpful. The views of the beach and ocean from the hotel and our room were amazing. Even though it was far away, we could see whales out in the ocean from our balcony! The beach was only a short walk away. The breakfast was great. The common spaces were really nice and comfortable. We stayed at 7 different hotels, all very very nice, in our almost 3 week trip of South Africa, and our room here (the Southern Right Suite) was one of the best. Very large with a cool bathroom. Hermanus is a very nice town with spectacular scenery.

What a fabulous find. This is a private villa with 5 beautiful rooms. It is a short walk to the nicest part of Grotto beach, gorgeous sand and very few people. In our opinion much nicer than staying in downtown Hermanus and only a 10 minute drive. The service was outstanding and breakfast first class and cooked to order. There are 3 dining spots we tried within a 5 minute drive all different, great value and nice food. Dutchies (on the beach), Lizettes and Hobside Down (great pizzas). Never normally rate accommodation but this was exceptional. Thanks to the amazing team!

very helpful team, caring staff. Excellent breakfast. Spacious rooms and bathrooms. very clean and well located property. sea view. Property is located in very safe area and has few excellent restaurants nearby.
