Just fantastic. Hermanus is a beautiful little place anyhow but with a stay at “On the Cliff” the trip was topped off perfectly. I’ve never had such an extensive breakfast in all of my travels which really kick started my day. Thank you.

We were recommended this lovely guest house by people who had stayed a few months before we were looking for somewhere to stay. Charmaine gave us great advise when we were looking to book. Stunning location on a quiet road overlooking the ocean. Most comfortable bed ever, caused us being late for breakfast as we slept better than ever. Lucky was wonderful ensuring we had everything we needed. Breakfast will set you up for the full day, wonderful home made delicious food. Easy walks along the cliff paths opposite the house especially when you encounter the Dassies. Have recommended to others we met on our tour of South Africa. Sue & Eric

Superschönes Gästehaus, tolle Zimmer, super sauber. Meerblick, in der Walsaison sieht man die Wale vom Zimmer aus. Tolles Frühstück. Super Service. Tolle Bar. Einfach nur perfekt. Herzlichen Dank an Lucky. Und an Charmaine, die Besitzerin des Hauses, für die guten Tipps und die netten Gespräche. Es war ein unvergesslicher Aufenthalt bei Euch.

Posto molto carino con camera che da dritta sull’oceano. Il personale molto gentile, un poco di confusione al check-in ma sono stati in grado di risolvere velocemente. Spazi comuni molto ben organizzati e molto piacevoli. Ottima la colazione.

Nous sommes restés 2 nuits, Accueil inexistant et peu sympathique (à peine bonjour de la propriétaire), petit déjeuner très médiocre, impossible d'avoir la television en fonctionnement (on nous dit que les chaines sud-africaines ne sont pas interessantes !) Vue de notre chambre au rdc décevante

Perfectly situated with beautiful views of the ocean and cliffs. You can start your cliff walk just across the road or sit on a bench and watch the whales. The town centre is within walking distance. The breakfast is fantastic with everything you could gwant. The staff are friendly and your host will make you feel at home.

We had a great stay at On The Cliff, Charmaine was a lovely host, she has excellent staff who really look after you and Lucky was the star man! Spotlessly clean rooms, excellent breakfast and lovely surroundings. We'll definitely be back.

this is a wonderful place to stay while in Harmanus, wonderful rooms, very comfortable beds and friendly staff and owner. we would definitely stay again if given the chance and can highly recommend to stay. our stay of 2 days was maybe 1-2 days short.

Beautiful guesthouse with spectacular views! The rooms were clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated. The owner Charmaine and her staff were exceptional. The breakfast was great and the self-serve bar with the fantastic views was awesome. A big thank you to Lucky for all your help. If you're in Hermanus this is the place to stay!!

We stayed for two nights as a family of 4 at On the Cliff. We were made to feel very welcome by Charmaine and all our needs were taken care of by Lucky. The rooms had great views over the cliffs to the sea and were spacious and well appointed. Charmaine was super informed about restaurants and things to do in Hermanus. We had pre-drinks and afters both nights in the on site honesty bar: it was great fun. Can't fault the breakfasts: lots of choice. Really enjoyed our stay.

What a little gem of a place. Amazing place to stay with very comfortable set-up and large rooms. Very friendly people and very accommodating. Local recommendations were great and we really had a wonderful stay.

The views from this property gaze into the distance across the sea and it is in an ideal location for exploring Hermanus and the areas north, west and east of the town. The standard of service is very high and an excellent breakfast awaits each morning. Issues regarding load shedding and overnight electricity for medical equipment was handled very quickly and efficiently. A very relaxing property to stay at with full secure parking provided.
