薰衣草莊園旅館(Lavender Manor Guest Lodge)

Wir hatten die Luxury Suite mit 2 Balkonen mit Blick auf das Meer und Garten gebucht. Es stellte sich heraus, dass dieses Zimmer nur über 2 kleine Minibalkone mit 2 Klappstühlen verfügte. Blick aufs Meer war ebenfalls Fehlanzeige. Die Suite befand sich im Hinterhaus. Zum Frühstück musste man immer über den Hof, vorbei am Minipool, der sich ebenfalls im Hof befand. Das Zimmer selbst war auch schon bisschen abgewohnt, hätte uns aber nicht einmal so gestört, wenn die Lage und die Aussicht gestimmt hätte. Wir haben es vorgezogen, uns eine neue Bleibe zu suchen, denn diese 2 Nächte wäre unsere schlechteste Unterkunft während unseres 4 wöchigen Urlaubs gewesen. Wir haben dann kurzfristig ein günstigeres und viel schöneres Gästehaus gefunden. Die 2 Nächte wurden uns voll berechnet.

Um hotel super charmoso, limpo e confortável, localizado numa área bem tranquila de Hermanus. O quarto é ótimo, tem frigobar, TV a cabo, ar condicionado, banheiro amplo, chuveiro bom! O café da manhã é delicioso e os funcionários e donos do hotel são muito atenciosos e educados! Amei e pretendo voltar! Hermanus foi uma cidade que marcou minha viagem! Vale à pena conhecer!

Wir waren sehr begeistert von dem Guest House. Wir hatten Suite mit Meerblick im vorderen Haus. Balkon zum Meer. Es ist alles mit viel Liebe und Details eingerichtet. Ob im Zimmer, Bad oder dem Rest des Hauses. Das Ehepaar und die Angestellten sind super freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Lavender Manor is a fantastic guest house in the quiet district of Voelklip, in the outer reaches east of Hermanus (2 kms), set back but overlooking the sea at Grotto Beach. Dutchies restaurant by the beach is a 0.6kms walk away. Kobus and Marelise are wonderful hosts. It's like staying in a family home. We had the ground floor room in the main house, adjacent to the little courtyard and (small) pool. Large, well-appointed, with en-suite wet room shower etc. Super breakfasts. We came in January, but if you were making a whale watching trip later in the year (July - October) it would be an excellent location too.

We went with friends and needed 3 rooms. Luckily we got the best room , but our friends got a dank and miserable room at the back of the lodge. The pool is just a bit bigger than a bathtub. On arrival our hosts informed us that we had woken them up from the mid-afternoon snooze and then rushed to show us around. Took all of 5 minutes. Felt like we were just left to it and they never seemed to be around to ask questions. Ok if you get rooms 1 or 3, but otherwise not so sure about this place.

Beautifully decorated with a touch of luxury, Lavender Manor is situated within walking distance to a beautiful beach. Breakfast was also delightful. Next time in Hermanus I would definitely stay there again.

We loved our stay at Lavender Manor. Comfortable beds, delicious breakfast, friendly and welcoming hosts, lovely decorated rooms, walking distance to the beach and beautiful views ... what else do you need? We enjoyed the sunset from the roof terrace and would have loved to stay longer than just one night. Thank you, Marelise and team!

What’s not to like. We had a Superior Room with a sea view and is by far the biggest and well appointed room of any B@B we have stayed in. Breakfast included everything you could possibly want and nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend and we can be critical if things do not measure up to expectations.

We regularly stay in Hermanus and like to stay near Grotto Beach. Lavender Manor is only a short walk from the beach, our room was very comfortable and spacious and the breakfast was excellent. On site parking was safe and convenient. We will return when next in Hermanus.
