I’m shocked at the latest review bombing for this place. We’ve been coming here for the last 4 years and have stayed at 3 different units in buildings 1, 2, and 3. Sure it isn’t Sea Pines or the Omni, but our stays have been nothing short of enjoyable. We’ve booked on Air Bnb and had spacious units, used the pool, eaten food at the grill and Coco’s, and walked the walkway down to the beach. It all feels safe and secure here. Could they update a few things? Sure. It could use a modern facelift and maybe more laundry spots on floors. Come here before Labor Day and the shuttle will take you right to the beach, no need for walking if you choose not to. Our hosts have all given access to storage lockers with beach gear so we don’t have to bring any from home. Don’t count this spot out!

Unfortunately, our experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing. From the moment we arrived, the staff was unhelpful and at times outright rude. We felt like a burden when asking basic questions or requesting assistance. Our room was not clean upon check-in, and the overall condition of the building was poor—dirty, outdated, and clearly not well maintained. We felt so uncomfortable in the space that we made the decision to leave a night early. One of the main reasons we booked this location was for the beach access, but it turned out to be a much longer and less convenient walk than expected. Worse, the route felt unsafe, especially at night, which made it difficult to enjoy one of the key attractions. We do not plan on returning and would not recommend this hotel to others looking for a clean, safe, and welcoming place to stay.

This was our first time to HHI and I traveled with 2 teenage girls. We stayed in building 3 and it was disgusting. When we arrived, the elevator button panel was open. The duct tape they used to keep it shut was no longer working. The carpets were stained, torn and were not vacuumed in the week we were there. Our room (3315) was clean, but didn’t provide enough towels, TP or dishwasher pods. The main bathroom door didn’t work and the TV remotes didn’t either. My main reason for staying there was because they said 5 min access to beach. Beware…it’s 5 min to the boardwalk and another 10 min walk to the beach. The beach was awesome. Clean and not crowded. Having Coco’s right there was fantastic too. Very friendly and helpful people there. I get this is place to stay when you’re on a budget, but still no reason for the facilities to be disgusting.

Needs a major overhaul. Very outdated and dirty. I saw the same trash sit in the same spot for several days before I picked it up myself and took it down to the ground level where the trash can was. The carpet in the walkways has more stained areas than not. The pool area is also kinda gross. Everything is dusty or sticky. It’s more budget friendly, I get that. But that shouldn’t equal filth. The walk to the beach is over half a mile. Shuttle is available only at certain times.

Condo we rented was extremely nice. However, the "resort" is ghetto at best. The indoor pool is disgusting. I had hair in my hands swimming across the pool. The renters are low class families who have no respect for any others using the facilities. Access to the elevator is so far away from most units you need to take an Uber to get there. The buildings themselves are in desperate need of repairs. The hallways smells and the stairs are disintegrating below your feet. Spend a little more money and rent a place that is nice.

I wouldn’t give them a Star at all. I am writing to express my extreme frustration and concern regarding an incident that occurred at your hotel during our stay yesterday. My family and I drove three hours to attend a gymnastics meet at your hotel. Upon arrival at 12:30 pm , we found no valet attendants outside, so we parked in a handicap spot and placed our parking ticket on the dashboard, as is customary for us. After walking a few feet to the entrance, we were greeted by valet attendants who were inside the building but made no mention of any issues with our parking or that we should not have parked in the spot. We attended the meet, which concluded around 5:45 pm, and we remained inside the building until approximately 5:45 pm before returning to our car. We have a luxury vehicle that is regularly serviced, and the car notifies us immediately of any mechanical issues. On our way out, however, the tire pressure system alerted us that we were losing air. With almost loosing control of the vehicle, We pulled over on the highway and discovered that there were *seven slashes* in our rear passenger tire! I immediately contacted the hotel, only to be told by Marah, the manager on duty, that there are no cameras in the front of the hotel, only in the back. I was informed that she would need to speak to the valet team to investigate, but no one could explain how this happened. This is a serious matter. My family was put in extreme danger due to this act of vandalism. Had we been traveling at a higher speed or not caught the issue in time, this could have resulted in a catastrophic accident.It is clear that either the valet staff or someone parked next to us caused this damage, and the hotel must take full responsibility. This is not just an inconvenience—it is a life-threatening situation that could have ended much worse. We are appalled by the lack of accountability from your hotel staff, who seem unwilling to take responsibility for what happened on their property. I am demanding a thorough investigation into this incident, as well as appropriate accountability. This is a serious safety violation, and Hilton should not be allowed to avoid responsibility. I will not rest until this matter is resolved in the correct and just manner.This is an unacceptable situation, and I will make sure that Hilton is held accountable for the damage and endangerment we experienced. Jan,28,2025 I woke up To unauthorized charges on my card for over 900 dollars . This place is ragtag resort do not stay here . I will be contacting the FTC, and my lawyer.

Great family condo with tons of amenities. SHort walk to the beach without having to go over any streets-you go over a boardwalk above a tidal marsh so it's pretty cool with wildlife to see. Very clean and nice friendly staff. They have a golf cart to shuttle you to and from the beach during the summer.

Mustangs was very good with the service recovery after we were given a bad room with a poor view. He personally made us feel special We will be visiting again and we will look for Miustafa he was professional and and told us about his rise from guest services

The room was outdated , furniture in horrible shape. The chairs on the patio were uncomfortable. Our TV was not working. The room smelled stale. The coffee in the gift shop was horrible. The whole experience was horrible. Thank God we only had to be there for one night. Four stars , try 2 . We will not be back.

The resort is okay if you are watching your travel dollar. Our unit (3408) was not well cleaned prior to our arrival. Dusty HVAC cover, mold in the master bath, unclean shower curtain and a bloody smear on the main bathroom wall. There were crumbs left on top of the refrigerator. The owner of this unit should look at a different cleaner. Confidentiality is out the window with our parking pass (placed in the vehicle window) containing our name, unit number and dates. It would be sufficient to print the expiring departure date. The property management that we dealt with were fine and professional but have limited say in the overall maintenance. The boardwalk was a nice route to the beach and was enjoyable. This, and central location, is why it did not receive a one star. To the owners, take care of the maintenance and cleanliness. If you are renting out your unit, remove the furniture covers.

This unit was very updated and nicely updated. Our unit was very close to the beach and the rest of the resort was great! Visiting Cocos is a must. Overall we had a great time and will certainly be back again next year.

I’ll have to look at the definition of “resort,” but this place is NOT it. The individual condo we stayed in was nice, and the location was good, but the property in general is a dump. Outdated, dirty, and clearly lack of updates. I’m not sure who even oversees this “resort.” No resort manager, no guest services. Only workers we saw were maintenance workers. Feral cats on property outside, and even being in both the indoor and outdoor pool made us cringe. Look elsewhere.
