First of all I would like to note that I'm a super loyal customer who understand and accept most of the situations and things. I travel a lot in Southeast Asia and have stayed in a huge number of places of completely different standards and service. But this experience was the most surprising.
I'm at the resort right now. I'm in the room and I'm in shock.
Well, my original reservation was for eight nights. And everything was fine. Even though the pool advertised in all the pictures doesn't actually exist. There's a small and dirty pool that you don't even want to go near, let alone swim in. Anyway it doesn't even come close to the one in the pictures.
Okay.
The standard room was quite nice. Tiny but clean and cozy. No complaints. And since everything was fine I decided to extend my stay for another seven nights.
I book. And that's where the problems begin.
The first surprise was when I was asked to check out and check in again... Which means to leave my room and move back into a different one. Why? It was the same room type.
Ok, situations happen, I agree. I gather all my stuff and take my luggage downstairs. Nonsense. But I don't argue.
Then they show me to a new room, which is an exact copy of the previous one but the entrance is from a different staircase.
I come in and am shocked. I swear I've never seen a dirtier place in my life. It's practically never been cleaned. Your feet turn black instantly. The floor is literally strewn with trash: candy wrappers, some hairpins, hairs. Cobwebs are in every corner and dust lies so thick on every surface so you could paint pictures.
The walls are dirty covered in blisters from the damp. And the worst thing is the smell of mold literally knocking you off your feet. A headache immediately begins.
The towels are stale, the bed linens are not white (and not even sure they changed it after the previous guests). The curtains has holes and also can't be moved because they're pinned to the wall by the bed.
The bathroom. The sink is dirty like it's never cleaned and sticky, with water leaking onto the floor. The toilet is dirty, the mirror is dirty and there are stains of unknown origin on the walls. And again bubbles on the walls. It's unpleasant to be in there or even touch anything.
The staff is trying to clean the room. Why not before check-in is a question. Of course it doesn't get any cleaner cause they just lightly mopped the floor and change the towels.
And I really cannot understand.
So, I extended my stay at your resort. I'm a loyal customer. And in return you're moving me to terrible conditions? Are you okay?
This room is uninhabitable due to the dirt and the disgusting smell of mold! It is impossible to stay here!
They promised to change the room tomorrow. We'll see.
In the end I would also add that the resort is located in a completely useless area. There's nothing here: no groceries (even the smallest one), no cafes, nothing at all. Nothing.
Well, guys... your location is already unfavorable. And it's simply a disgrace and a shame to have such a low level of service
