閃亮之星海濱酒店(Shining Star Beachfront Accommodation)

The couple who run the place are friendly , efficient and courteous. The beef is the size of the room and lack of amenities. There was no way to cook. The tv depended on three remotes + wouldn't work without switching plugs and leaving a host device on 24/7. You couldnt get to wardrobe without climbing over a sofa. The wifi didnt work. It dropped off completely & registerd just 1.3mbs download on a speed test. Impossible for working people. The management had a bigger room at same price and literally told us they dont use this room #23/24 for anything but overnight stays. We were there for 3 lingering nights. There are much more workable rooms available on this site. Unfortunately we didn’t book one of them.

This accommodation is 20 minutes by walk away from city center. There is no eatery in the premises and its surroundings. The beach is so so. The room is quite packed. Wifi connection is unstable. Cleanliness and staff friendliness are good. This place (this accommodation and even Hokitika) is not recommended for those without car or bike as Hokitika has no public bus and Uber service

We really enjoyed this place. Stayed in a beachfront chalet which was cute and cosy. Metres from the beach so the sounds of the waves lulled you to a peaceful sleep. The mini farm with alpacas, chickens, and a goat was a pleasant surprise. And best of all it is literally just across the road from the glow worm dell. Staff was friendly and gave us a top tip on where to go for a top-notch cheap dinner (Town Chip).

The beachfront properties are not quite on the beach but close enough to see the waves. The accommodations were excellent and if the weather had been better, we would have loved to sit outside on the deck to further enjoy the view. Beds and linens were very comfortable and we had everything we needed! We would highly recommend staying here and popping across to the glowworm dell at night:)

Accommodation was very good over all, nice set up with privacy and great location to beach. The only minor issue is the birds nesting in the roof over the entrance are noisy at night. Shower arrangement over spa bath, yeah not great. bathroom perhaps needs a look at there.

能夠打開窗簾並眺望海浪真是太棒了。舒適的床和良好的淋浴。非常乾淨整潔。如果可以將電爐升級為小型電磁爐，那就太好了，因為它們需要很長時間才能加熱，而且使用起來很混亂。我們一定會回來並毫不猶豫地推薦這家住宿。
