霍爾特旅館

Nous avons passé 3 nuits dans cet hôtel, ancienne école transformée. Il se situe dans un cadre magnifique et est idéal pour sillonner et découvrir la région et les différents fjords environnants. L’accueil et le service, en particulier l’équipe du petit déjeuner sont vraiment sympas. Le petit déjeuner est très bien et la salle, surprenante quand on y arrive la 1ere fois, est finalement agréable… dommage néanmoins que l’on ne puisse pas profiter du cadre magique extérieur. Quant à notre chambre, cela est beaucoup plus problématique. La literie est très bonne et la propreté idem. Mais notre chambre sous le toit était vraiment très exiguë avec des difficultés pour ouvrir nos valises et une salle de bien très petite et un aménagement surprenant… quand on utilise la douche, le lavabo en profite… une tablette au-dessus du lavabo très gênante… Nous avons pu apercevoir une chambre voisine (qui n’était pas sous les pentes du toit) beaucoup plus spacieuse Donc du bien et du moins bien pour cet hôtel

Das Haus macht von außen einen sehr heruntergekommenen Eindruck. Die sehr kleinen Zimmer verfügen nur über zwei Bügel um Kleidung aufzuhängen. Das war es als Ablagefläche. Der Hot Pot roch penetrant nach Chlor, was der Eigentümer zunächst abstritt. Dann aber zugab, das Wasser chloriert zu haben. Das ist uns bei der ganzen Island Reise noch nicht vorgekommen. Das Frühstücksbuffet bot noch reichlich Luft nach oben und war lieblos angerichtet. Der fertige Obstsalat und der Fisch befand sich noch in den Gläsern. Die Butter musste man selbst aus der Packung kratzen. Von einer Übernachtung in dem "Hotel" kann man nur abraten. .

Les chambres classiques sont très petites mais très propres ... L'accueil est sympa ! Le jacuzzi est une vieux modèle à remplacer, le couvercle est très lourd et difficile à enlever à deux ! Les pièces communes sont désuètes et la salle du petit déjeuner ressemble plutôt à une caverne qui sert aussi de salle de spectacle. Pour passer une nuit en transit mais pas plus !

This beautifully managed inn is welcoming, friendly, and quite isolated on Onundarfjord in the Westfjords of Iceland. Our room was simple but comfortable, one of ten or so in what used to be a schoolhouse, surrounded by stunning views of fjord and mountains. The breakfasts were the best of all the places we stayed. We felt well taken care of by our hosts and hope to go back on our next visit.

Poor first impression. No ‘curb appeal’ scruffy outside. Rooms very nice. Staff very friendly and helpful. They booked us a table at a local cafe they recommended for our evening meal and it was great. Breakfast was good, continental style.

We celebrated our wedding there, it’s was perfect. The hall was just big enough for everyone and then after we took most of the tables away and hada dance with live music! Highly recommend for everyone. The rooms are spacious, I got ready there with my hairdresser and makeup artist + some friends enough room for everyone in my room. The owners are the nicest and very kind and helpful staff

one night stay to visit the fjords to the north. quite isolated hotel which allows you to isolate yourself in nature. overall good facility and good breakfast, friendly staff. room a bit small and, major flaw, the shelf above the sink. free parking and possibility to buy beer or soda from a small minibar

I have stayed here in the years past and it is a place I return to whenever I am in the area. Earlier this July (2022) I took an excursion by helicopter to the Westfjords region for purposes of photography. We spent the night at Holt Inn. It helped that we could land the helicopter on the grass outside and walk to our room. The family-run establishment exudes warmth. The owners and staff are lovely people who make the guests feel welcome. The location, the surrounding mountains and scenery of Önundarfjörður are spectacular. You cannot go wrong with Holt Inn. Highly recommended.

Lovely peaceful setting and the rooms in the converted school house were very comfortable. When you drive up it looks rundown with weeds at the stairs and peeling paint but inside is much better. There is a nice hot tub at the back but no one has bothered to mow the grass so not the best to get there and the covers are VERY heavy. I could drag them off but had no chance of putting them back as requested. The staff were Spanish who had a poor command of English and not a lot of local knowledge. The maps they had were out of date. Breakfast was quite good but they kept running out of things and had to be chased up for replenishment. With some care and attention it would have been much better.
