檀香山蓮花酒店(Lotus Honolulu at Diamond Head)

this beautiful gem of a hotel is in the quiet area of Waikiki in front of Kapiolani Park and white Diamond Head. Perfect location to get in and out quickly and not deal with the Waikiki traffic. The service was excellent from valet to front desk. Greeting with wine, a water bottle filler and lovely Hawaiian music made for a great first impression. Valley parking is easy and not crowded. Like the bigger hotels. How could you not love this place. I only complaint was in the room the phone charging outlets were not quite working. besides that inconvenience, a great beginning for our stay.

Although the hotel website stated that self parking option was available, when we checked in,the parking attendant said only valet parking was all. The first room we were assigned smelled like a dirty locker room. The bathroom couiwas cracked and there holes in the upholstered chair. We were allowed to switch to another room which was tolerably less smelly. It seemed like the linens smelled of body odor. The bathroom sink drain smelled and the bathroom sink had a small crack. The restaurant in the hotel is closed on Monday and Tuesday. The hotel staff did not allow us a late check out of an hour and a half. That’s fine but they started badgering us 2 minutes after checkout time just as we were getting ready to leave. It take a while to get down to the lobby since they only have one small elevator which is shared by the maintenance staff.

A cute, small hotel. Close to the beach but you have to walk around to get to the sand. Room was good, bed was comfortable, view from the balcony of Diamondhead was beautiful. It was quiet and didn’t hear neighbours or anything in the surrounding area. Resort fee and parking fee are not cheap. I’m sure you could find Street parking but the valet was convenient. Have bikes you can use for free to ride to Waikiki, takes just a couple of minutes, it’s a pretty ride. It’s also an approximate 10 minute walk to get to the hustle and bustle. It’s nice that this hotel is away from the chaos and across from the park, a very active area with lots of people running and walking and exercising. I love it.

Loved the location. Pleasant staff- welcoming and helpful. Incorrect charges on bill promptly and courteously corrected. I would recommend this place to others and definitely stay here the next tie i am in Honolulu. Mahalo

Park view was lovely, the room balcony was a good size. The room was large and comfortable. Convenience store next door is well stocked and very convenient! Limited food options nearby but many food delivery services delivered right to our room!

Coming from a more commercial hotel in the heart of Waikiki, I was instantly impressed with the calm, zen & elegant vibe of The Lotus Hotel. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful too. Highly recommend!

The beautiful view from the two balconies of our room! You could see the ocean from one side and Diamond Head from the other side! The staff was very friendly and helpful! We will definitely be back!

I love this hotel. The staff are wonderful and the setting is so peaceful. The rooms are large and comfortable with amazing views of Diamond Head.
