We had a great experience here! They were very friendly and were able to get us in right away. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. Affordable price too! Also loved the coffee shop and outdoor seating area.

This was the first time we stayed at this hotel and we really liked it. They recently redid it and you can really tell. Beds were very comfortable, nice linens, great amenities, lots of space. We had a little bit of issue with some of the noise on the outside of the building and with the people next to us but it wasn't anything that would prevent us from staying there again. Great value and great location to walking to downtown and to the park. Really friendly family that owns it.

My wife and I spent a wonderful week at the lodge! The room was spacious and well equipped. Phil and Vicki are attentive and helpful and Vicki cooks some excellent meals - and baked goods. We look forward to staying there again. We met other folks who were staying there and they were just as enthusiastic about the Lodge and Cafe as we are!! We had a family celebration and the Lodge was close by. Thank you so much!

Stayed here a couple of nights to visit nearby hot springs. Overall, it was a nice stay. The room did have some weird smell to it (I'm guessing from cleaners). We left the windows opened, and that helped some. Check-in was easy. Dinner was great, but breakfast, for whatever reason, was overcooked.

The room was beautifully remodeled and not just with some things. EVERYTHING was new. LVP flooring which is great in reducing odors long term. New shower, sink and was thoughtfully done unlike other 'remodels' I've seen that were done on the cheap. It is a smaller hotel, so not too many people even though it was fully booked, but we could park right outside the door and walk into town. Major road construction this year has downtown a bit of a mess, but it wasn't a big problem. There is a cafe on site that serves excellent meals and if the weather is nice, you can sit outside, which we did. Not sure I could find enough close by to stay a week, but we stayed 2 nights on our way to Mt Rushmore and other attractions. Would definitely go back

We had just finished a soak at Moccasin Springs just down the road and then found our room to be updated with a spa-like feel. The owners were friendly. The bed was pretty firm. The room was clean and inviting. The scenery was awesome with the creek running right in front. We had a great stay!

We looked around at the reviews for places in Hot Springs, to say the least most of the other hotels aren't well reviewed and some are downright scary. We drove over to Springs Lodge and asked if we could view a room, the owners gave us a key to a room, and we checked it out. EXTREMELY clean and well-maintained room, we were sold. The room was very clean, bed was very comfortable. The room has a nice feel with barn door shade and bathroom door. The owners are very friendly and well informed about the town and the surrounding areas. They are no longer associated with a brand are 100% independent. The hotel offers a discount at the cafe which (see my review) is great. The hotel doesn't have a pool, that was filled in and is now the seating area for the cafe and a play area. The town has a nice walking trail across the street from the hotel and cafe.

The Springs Lodge And Café couldn’t be a more perfect place to get away! It is only 4 1/2 hours from Loveland and 5 1/2 hours from Denver. So it’s a perfect road trip. When we got to the lodge, we were pleasantly surprised about how every room had been remodeled in a very warm, and comfortable way. There are even barn doors on the window that keep the room completely dark, and give it a rustic lodge like feeling . Mattresses are very comfortable and I got two great night sleeps. The family owned business owners are so welcoming, and so friendly. Vicky, runs the café and makes wonderful breakfast and lunches. My friends enjoyed the coffee drinks and I loved all the tea drinks. You can’t go wrong with any item of food that you choose. I had a yummy egg quesadilla. And delicious warm muffins. There are so many fun, relaxing and interesting things to do near the Hot Springs lodge. Moccasin Springs resort is right across the street. Where you can soak in the healing waters of Hot Springs. It’s also very close to wind cave national park and Custer State Park. I’ve been highly recommend staying at the Hot Springs Lodge in Café. It’s the best place in town with the friendliest staff- that do everything they can to make your stay memorable.

The Wetzel Family provides a small town welcoming that has me looking forward to my next stay at The Lodge. Recent room upgrades are stylish and comfortable. The cafe offers Hot Springs’ best espresso and is available much earlier than neighboring shops. Staff consistently treat travelers as family with courtesy that exceeds expectations.

Our three day stay here was the best on our trip to the black hills. The owners and staff were very friendly and accommodating, willing to answer any questions we had and making suggestions for dining and attractions. Almost all of the rooms have been remodeled. They are attractive,clean and comfortable. They have an open air cafe, Springs Coffee, open for breakfast and lunch which offers a discount. The coffee and food we tried was very good. We would definitely stay there again.

We stayed in the cabins. Couldn’t ask for a cleaner, more equipped cabin. They have everything. Two TV’s with cable, comfortable beds, refrigerator,microwave, toaster, coffee maker, charging station,hairdryer, extra blankets, and a porch to sit out on. The downtown is within walking distance for restaurants, coffee shops… Our dogs were allowed with a charge, of course, but I love that they have hardwood floors, it eases my mind.

The manager is extremely rude and seems unstable. The room had a lot of dog hair, a large hairball (at least 2 inches long) was in plain sight in the corner, there was a bath mat rolled up next to the toilet that had hair and dirt all over it. We were told the room had a chair that turned into a cot. The manager did offer to fold the chair down so I’m guessing this thing has been an issue for other guests. It was some weird thing that you apparently need to remove the feet from the chair. He did not offer a rollaway bed that evening as an alternative. I told his daughter at the desk the next morning they should just put an instruction sheet in the room for the chair because we just put 3 kids in a bed when it didn’t go down flat. I was not rude when I said this and did not ask for a price adjustment on the room, it was just a suggestion. When I went back to turn in the key, the man started yelling at me for “bitching about the room” when he had offered to help the night before. Then he sneered, “I knew you wouldn’t be able to figure it out!” When I said, “I can’t believe you just said the b word to me (he did 2x) he got crazy eyes and said “I’m sorry! I didn’t know your pronouns!” I have never had such horrible treatment by anyone in the service industry in 40 years. There was a lot of Christian art in the office but this man is the most un-Christian person you will ever meet. Extremely unprofessional and rude, do not give him your money!!!!
