鐘形帳篷豪華野營(Bell Tent Glamping at Royal Victoria Country Park)

We’ve been to this site several times and have to say this was our worst experience. The people who have taken over have a bad attitude and seemed uninterested in looking after the site. Tea and hot chocolate not refilled. Bin not emptied. Toilets not cleaned and no toilet role. Woodlands now blocked off so not accessible to the children. Just a bad vibe/negative attitude of the new people that have taken over. Such a shame as we have always loved it here. Makes you appreciate how much time and effort Jim went into keeping the place clean and tidy. Won’t be returning anytime soon. Hopefully these problems will be rectified

Brilliant time we all had as a group. The tent is spacious and clean. Everything worked and beds were comfy. Bathrooms were clean and the area of the country park is lovely with lots of nice areas around the site. The surrounding areas were noisy some nights but that is to be expected on a campsite and no fault of the actual site.

We absolutely loved our stay here, exactly what was needed to 'fill my cup' again. Lovely owners/managers, great facilities, well maintained. The tents include beds, very effective heaters and a power point. The kitchen area is well equipped with free tea and coffees too. There's BBQ areas and decking/picnic table for each pit. We stayed as a family of four and found it truly relaxing. Highly recommend taking a walk to Hamble - buy your crabbing equipment from the Coop in Hamble Square.

Excellent stay. We had a cabin. Alot larger in the inside than it looks from the outside. Very comfy bed and sofa. Excellent facilities in the kitchen with everything you could possibly need provided. Very short walk down to the seaside. Just under a mile to the nearest co op plus takeaway eg chippy, Chinese. Still hot enough by the time you walk back. Jim and John Very helpful if any questions about anything. Ideal if you do parkrun on a Saturday. Not even 5 mins walk to the start. Would definitely recommend them.

We had such a lovely 2 night stay here. The campsite is very clean, facilities are excellent, the showers/toilets were shining they do a great job with staying on top of this. The surrounding area is lovely with lots to see, great for kids and dogs. Price point is great and well worth it. Jimmy was always around to help with questions and he was very friendly making us feel very safe. We definitely hope to return!

We had a nice mini break here! The staff were friendly and most of the facilities were super clean. The kitchen was awesome with its full range of coffees and teas for all, including milk too. It was also filled to the brim with every kitchen gadget you could think of and was free to use. You could rock up with just the food for your BBQ and their kitchen would have you covered from knifes - forks to plates and pans. Showers and toilets were also cleaned regularly and were spotless. The only thing I'd say is we had a few spiders in our cabin and I had to remove them as my son couldn't sleep with them above his head. Maybe this is the real wilderness but I think it would have helped if a feather duster was used before arrival to save me from removing them all. The glampsite had a BBQ outside each wooden cabin; my son loved prepping the fire for it every night. As well as the amazing facilities, it was situated in woodlands offering lots of lovely country walks along the sea and through the woods. Overall, we had a great stay and we will definitely be coming back!

We went with no expectations as we had planned to book a hotel but as they were either fully booked or crazily expensive, I saw this and thought it could be fun and was cheaper than a hotel. The tent was comfortable and we had plenty of room. The heater made it lovely and cosy. The beds were really good and we all slept well. The campsite is great - the kitchen, shower and toilet facilities are clean and of a good standard. It was also lovely having a table and place to have BBQs and campfires. The location is amazing as you can go for adventures in the forest, take a trip on the mini railway, walk on the beach and play in the great play parks. The owner was really helpful and welcoming. Our children (4 and 9) made friends with children in the next tent and they could safely play around the site - so they had a great time and it was quite relaxing for the adults. The campsite was nice and quiet at night so we slept well. We’d love to go back and are already planning our next trip!

My husband and I (of retirement age) recently had the huge pleasure of staying in a Glamping ‘pod’ at The Royal Victoria Country Park Site. Firstly, a very warm welcome from site owners. Beds were so comfortable and tents and pods are so well equipped with carpets, electricity, fairy lights and even an electric fire which made for a very cosy experience. Toilets and showers absolutely pristine. Super kitchen with fridges, kettles, microwave, electric BBQ, and all eating utensils. Undercover tables etc and even teas, coffee and other drinks are in plentiful supply for guests. We will definitely go back next year. Such a pleasurable experience .

First night fine. Second night awful. Rowdy tent creating problems throughout the night. Drunk, abusive, aggressive. Manager on site tried to help a bit, but the party was left to carry on causing a nuisance throughout the night. They only finally stopped at 4am cos they were all throwing up. Ruined what could have been a nice stay. Definitely not "family" orientated. Site had loads of nails and screws laying about too, so be careful with your car tyres.
