"Truly a relaxing getaway. We stayed in the deluxe suite- lovely views, comfortable room with underfloor heating in the bathroom that was ideal for the cooler weather. Especially enjoyed the window seats in the room- perfect for relaxing and soaking up the sun. We had breakfast and dinner at The Bistro and received excellent service and delicious food. We requested for our hake at dinner not to be beer battered and to be prepared seperately for religious reasons and the staff were very accommodating. We also visited the spa for a massage. The spa was clean with heated blankets on the massage beds which really elevated the experience. Would definitely return to Granny Mouse for future getaways! The tranquility can't be beaten."

"We recently stayed at Gateside Guesthouse and wanted to share my experience. Pros: Beautiful Views: The scenery surrounding the guest house is absolutely stunning. Waking up to such breathtaking views was a highlight of our stay. Delicious Breakfast: The breakfast offered was delightful, with a variety of options that were both tasty and satisfying. It truly set a positive tone for the day. Cons: Unfriendly Welcome: Unfortunately, our welcome was not as warm as we had hoped from the manager. The initial interaction felt a bit cold and rushed, which set an awkward tone for the start of our stay. Communication Style: Throughout our visit, reminders about the house rules were delivered in a rather unfriendly manner. This could be improved by adopting a more welcoming tone for guests. Feeling Unwelcome: At times, we felt unwelcome due to the overall atmosphere and communication style. A more friendly approach from the manager would greatly enhance the guest experience. Conclusion: While there were aspects of our stay that we truly enjoyed, such as the beautiful views and delicious breakfast, the unfriendly welcome and communication style left much to be desired. With some improvements in guest relations, Gateside Guesthouse has the potential to provide a much more inviting experience."

"In the hussle and bussle of urban living, I managed to pack the bags and load my kombi with my kids and a good friend to meet up at St Ives for a friends reunion. With a first time visit to St Ives, I was nervous on what to expect and cater for being a single day. The welcoming staff were incredible and the friendless was very noticeable. With a stones throw away, Piggly Wiggly has everything to for for catering and entertainment for kids, moms and dads. St Ives offered a family orientated Boma which is very accommodating with a catering and food selection which accommodates for everyone. Their selection of beer and beverages, hot and cold ensure that everyone was looked after during the various sports activities displayed on their multiple TV's in the boma. The boma is well catered for and the facilities for the children keep them well entertained and busy. The cleanliness and maintenance of the facility is immaculate, and you can see how well the property is maintained. With their various antelope that roam the property and the horses in the paddocks, you get a real country life feeling in waking up in the valleys in the morning. Thank you for an amazing long weekend and making the trip one to remember for a lifetime. We will be back their soon. "
