Extremely Disappointed — Misleading Photos, Dirty Room, and Paper Bath Towels?!
I booked Huizhou Xiaojingwan Xianglan Vacation Hotel based on beautiful, modern photos that promised a clean, relaxing stay. What I got was the opposite — an experience that left me frustrated, uncomfortable, and checking out early.
I arrived at Building 24, as listed on Trip.com, only to be told my room was actually in Building 1, located in a completely different gated complex. No one explained this. I had to walk 10–15 minutes with luggage, then was told to enter through an underground garage and ask security to let me in. There was no front desk, no signage, and no support.
The Room Condition — Nothing Like the Photos:
• Food left in the fridge
• Dirty floors, stained counters, mold in the shower and on the shower head
• Used slippers, broken bathroom handles, chipped paint
• Old furniture and curtains, completely worn down
• Balcony in bad shape, unlike the bright, clean listing
• TV didn’t work, and at that point I stopped expecting anything better
They gave me paper towels instead of bath towels. When I asked why, they told me cloth towels are “not sanitary.” That’s not a real reason — proper hotels wash towels with bleach or hot water and detergent. Eventually, they had to borrow real towels from another hotel just so I could shower.
A nice view doesn’t make up for a dirty, neglected room and no hospitality. This place relies on misleading photos and excuses instead of proper service. I cut my stay short and left early because I didn’t feel clean, safe, or cared for.
If you care about hygiene, comfort, and honesty — avoid this property.
