獅門之家(Liongate House)

This is a gem of a b&b. It's tucked in off the road with its own off road parking. The hosts make you immediately feel welcome on arrival and their home is lovely. The Lowry Room we stayed in, is on the ground floor with no steps from the car park into the room. The en-suite shower room is a wet room and perfectly setup. Everything you could need is there, from fluffy towels on a heated towel rail, creams, to a power shower with shampoo and shower gel are to hand. There is a lit, walk in clothes cupboard with rail and plenty of coat hangers and a trouser press. The bed is super wide and extremely comfortable. There is a kettle with a variety of coffee, teas, fruit tea sachets and biscuits. It is well lit and has heating controls so you can manage the room temperature. There is also a mini fridge under the stairs on entry that has complimentary drinks in bottles and cans. The walled garden has seating and a walk around a pond with a waterfall. The included breakfast room is amazing and includes fresh fruits and cooked full english breakfast. The village has a couple of pubs and a superb Italian restaurant, so this really is the perfect base for exploring the area. Highly recommended!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Liz & Graeme. Can’t fault their B&B at all. Fabulous hosts, rooms were perfect, superb breakfast. Had all one would need and if you needed something more we are certain that it would have been provided. No hesitation about staying at The Liongate again.

I stayed for 2 nights at the Liongate House and everything was fantastic. The room was lovely, very comfortable, clean and had great finishing touches. The breakfast was absolutely superb and Liz and Graeme were so kind and helpful and wonderful hosts.

This is by far the best B&B I stayed in during my 9 day south coast trip. Lots of detailed touches that lifted it above the rest. Excellent attentive hosts made sure I had a quality experience. I would thoroughly recommend Liongate House to anyone.

I discovered Liongate House when scrolling for somewhere to break our journey home from Cornwall. I wish I'd known about it years ago. Liz and Graham were the prefect hosts and made us feel more like welcome friends than paying guests. Our bedroom was comfortable and extremely well appointed: the breakfast, freshly cooked to order, was scrumptious with homemade bread, jams and marmalade. Perhaps the icing on the cake, when we arrived travel-worn and weary, was to be offered the chance to sit in their beautiful garden with a cup of tea and slice of homemade brownie. Future holidays may always be planned with a view to stopping off here!

Stayed on business and couldn't ask for more. Exceptionally clean and tid6, Liz and Graeme are brilliant. I will definitely be back if business brings me back down this way. The breakfast was lovely aswell.

We stayed three nights at Liongate. Everything was faultless. The host Graham and Liz were friendly and extremely helpful, refreshing us as we arrived with some coffee and chocolate brownies. The bedroom was comfortable with an excellent shower. Plenty of coffee and tea was on offer and fresh milk was available from a fridge. The room had a television and comfortable sofa and some DVDs were available The breakfast was to die for with home made bread, local sausages and bacon and the choice of three home made jams and marmalade. We were given great guidance by our hosts. I would highly recommend the Liongate House.

One of the best bed and breakfasts we have ever stayed in. The room was comfortable and spacious with a well designed bathroom. Everything was spotlessly clean, the breakfast was excellent and the owners Liz and Graeme were exceptionally kind and helpful. Cannot recommended highly enough.
