I stayed nine nights at SENTIDO Æquora Lanzarote Suites with my husband, our three children (ages 16, 14, and 8), my sister's family (including her children, ages 2 and 1), and our dad. We usually opt for all-inclusive stays in Playa de Los Pocillos annually but have never visited this hotel. We were assigned three junior suites: two on the ground floor near the splash pool and one on the first floor (18 steps up) for my elderly dad and son. I would rate this hotel three out of five stars. This review provides an honest account of our experience. Check-in Experience When we arrived at 8 pm, there was only one staff member at the front desk handling check-ins, so we had to wait in line. The lobby was impeccably clean, bright, and welcoming. The staff member was polite but distracted, frequently interrupted by phone calls and colleagues needing assistance. Soledad, his boss, intervened several times and seemed dissatisfied with his performance. At one point, he disappeared into the back office for over 5 minutes, disappointing after a long day of travelling. Overall, the check-in experience was not very welcoming, and we were underwhelmed when we finally reached our rooms. Room Quality The rooms were excellent—extremely spacious and perfect for our family. The beds were comfortable, and daily housekeeper service was available. At check-in, we could opt for less frequent housekeeper service if desired. Free Wi-Fi was available in all rooms. However, the air conditioning was not enormously powerful, and the room could have been cooler. I have experienced better air conditioning in other hotels. The room had two sleeping areas, ideal for giving our older son his space. The main downside was the communal open bathroom area, which offered no privacy for toilet use or showers. I had to ask my son to leave the room while showering since dressing had to happen in the open. While we managed, the lack of privacy in the bathroom would not be suitable for travelling with friends or children's friends. It was an unusual setup I had never encountered in a hotel. Customer Service The animation staff at the hotel were exceptional. They tirelessly provided entertainment from early morning until late evening. Our children thoroughly enjoyed the kid’s club and especially loved the mini disco. Enes, who ran the kid’s club, was fantastic. He went above and beyond to ensure all the children had a wonderful time. We are grateful for his efforts and the enjoyable experience he created for our kids. Sadly, the remaining staff significantly impacted my rating of this resort. The rudest staff I have encountered in all my years of travelling. No staff member stood out for their friendliness or effort to enhance our experience. Many were rude and diminished our experience. The resort's size affected the staff, making guests a low priority. The only gripe I had was with 1 mm ants ? That popped up in the kitchen and bathtub was worn.
But it wasn’t dirty. Cleaning lady also cleaned everyday.
Definitely a lovely stay for the money and amazing staff.
The hotel's pool area was clean and welcoming. The cleaning in the rooms was okay and towels were changed every other day. The apartments have plenty of equipment and the beds were good to lie in. The location of the hotel was good, pulled away from the main street and there are two large Spar supermarkets nearby. Hotels in resort on Canary island generally do not have heating, and the apartments in this hotel are very cold in January. There is only one sheet to have over you in bed, so the alternative is then to use wool blankets that are in the room, and that are probably not cleaned between guests. If you are sensitive to noise from other apartments, then stay away from this hotel. It should be quiet between 10 pm and 8 am, but there is no one to report to between these times. There was a lot of noise from the apartment below us when they came home every nights about 02-03. When we remark this to the reception, We were met with a suspicion and she said no one else had complained!!! Cleaning staff knock at door before 9 am to clean the room. This hotel has a rule that only one - 1 - roll of toilet paper is delivered every other day where there are 2 people in the apartment, and we experienced having to justify why we needed another toilet roll. The lady at reception confirmed this and said it should be enough!!!! We considered whether we had to buy our own toilet rolls. The most important thing for us was that it should be quiet at night, but that is during the quiet period when there is no one to report to. We're like rules, but this hotel has so many rules that it can feel like you're being watched, except at night when there can be noise without anyone to report to.
Lovely hotel, great location for access to sandy beach, local bars restaurants and buses. The hotel was always clean throughout, staff were very helpful and mostly friendly. There were plenty of sunbeds around the pool area, and quite a lot of shady areas if you needed them. The bedroom was good size, with a recently renovated bathroom with walk in shower. There is a kettle/cups provided however you have to buy your own coffee/tea supplies as nothing is provided! The outer fridge door opened backwards against the inner door and was quite awkward and a tight squeeze by the bottom of the bed, but nothing that caused any real bother. The buffet restaurant was always well equipped although the evening meals felt a bit repetitive after a couple of days, however there was plenty of choice at both breakfast and evening meals. Be careful going in after 8pm though as often dishes weren't replenished and were often unavailable..at one point a member of staff was cleaning down the hot grill at 8.30pm whilst guests were waiting for hot food., despite the restaurant being open until 9pm. My only real issue relates to drinks in the restaurant. The hotel caters for B & B, Half-board and All-inclusive guests; we were HB and therefore had to pay for all our drinks in both the bar and restaurant, (other than breakfast where everything was included - hot drinks, juice, squash, milk etc) We were happy doing this, either paying at the time of purchase or signing to our room to be paid upon our departure. We generally had a bottle of wine with our evening meal, which we signed to our room. (the choice of wines and price were quite reasonable) On our 2nd evening in the restaurant my partner collected a caraf of still water from the counter that we had seen other guests having. We were immediately approached by a member of staff who told us quite abruptly that we weren't allowed the water as it was for All-inclusive guests only. I pointed out that is was tap water only but he just kept saying ”you are not allowed, All-inclusive guests only”. He then produced a menu and indicated to us the bottle water that we had to order, which we duly did, but felt quite embarrassed as other guests were staring and he made us feel we had tried to do something wrong! I should add that staff at the pool bar were more than happy to provide tap water free of charge throughout the day to all guests, irrelevant of what Board basis they were on, even filling customers personal drinks bottles for them. On one other evening in the restaurant I asked for a glass of Sangria, which was served from a pump along with beer. I was again told that I wasn't allowed as it was for All-Inc guests only- I said that I wanted to pay/sign for the Sangria, but was told that I could only buy it at the bar and was not allowed it in the restaurant! On the whole none of these issues would prevent me from returning to La Geria, however guests shouldn't be made to feel like 2nd class citizens just because t
Paid for half board which was great ,but got the impression afternoon snacks were included. Drinks had to be paid for .not a problem just quizzed why 2 beers were 24 euros informed snacks not included, needs to be made more clear ,otherwise great stay

A fantastic location. We stayed in an apartment across the road from the main building. The apartment was clean and tidy. The fan in the bedroom kept us cool at night. There was no air con or fan in the main living area which made it very hot but we spent most time outdoors so it was not a massive issue. The pool bar was excellent and they had a great selection of drinks. A beer cost €2.50 in the pool bar but for some reason the hotel bar charged €3.00. The staff were all super friendly and cannot be faulted. If you come out of the hotel reception take a right and that is the easier way to get up and down from the ***** avoiding cardiac hill. Also on that route there are 2 spar supermarkets. We booked again for the same week next year.
Last night for us. Can’t fault this hotel, staff are fabulous, the hotel is spotless. The food is delicious & it’s opposite a sandy beach , it’s near a ***** with lots to do. Downsides Pools although not freezing are definitely not heated, food although lovely, in the evening there isn’t much choice for kids , but they have nuggets & burgers all day in the pool bar for them. It’s 20 mins from airport around £20 in a taxi. Rooms are nice & spacious and cleaned daily. Defo worth coming back.
had a great week here, ok the hotel is a mega complex, but staff i comunicated super helpfull , if you want a a more peacfull area and you are a light sleeper try room 1023 or the left hand side of the hotel, right side can be a bit noisy in the evening as the entertainmet carrys on till 11 (23:00) somtimes a bit beyond this, our room was above this but the staff were so helpfull and understandin and we moved to the other side (thank you all) had a small glitch with a dripping soaw but agan mainatance staff brillant, food super, so much choice , and lots :-) see the scales when i got back to UK LOL, next time thought i see if i can get room 1029 or above as will be so good to watch the airport, if you like that sort of thing , but its fun to watch them come past , But do try and get out of the hotel , walk in the eveing well worth it hire a bike a must, and watch the towel sunbed race in morning , thank you hotel Beatriz , and staff thank you all made a great holday , and treat the restrant staff with respect , its a tough job
