Tucked beneath the magnificent pines, sits this vintage 1946 storybook cabin, with 2 cozy bedrooms and a downstairs pillow-topped sofabed that becomes a queen. The living room has a wood fireplace and room to seat several people among the knotty pine decor. Supremely private and set back among the trees and down from the street, the air is either filled with the sound of crickets or the silence of winter.*NOTE - I have never had to keep any damage deposit, it has always been fully refundedThe knotty pine interior is authentically 'cabin' in every way, and the late 60s/early 70s immaculate furniture will throw you into another era as you sit by the stone wood-burning fireplace in the spacious and cozy living room, complete with 1920s art deco radio, vintage rocking chairs, and tasteful decor. Enjoy the large back deck nearly year-round, dining outdoors at a teakwood table, or looking up through the behemoth pines above you as you sway in the hammock and breathe the fresh mountain air, each season with its own distinct flavor. Watch the trees sway in the breeze by day, and their silhouettes among the stars at night. Cook a complete feast atop the beautiful glass-topped stove which sits elegantly flush with the countertops. Boasting two bedrooms and a pillow-topped sleeper couch, plenty of room to comfortably sleep 6. Entertain friends and family with over a dozen board games and cards, sound system and Karaoke machine. Close the wooden shutters on the windows in the living room, and the outside world absolutely disappears. There's no TV (replacing it with the 1920s radio was the very first thing I did). The upside, you really won't miss having one in this place. But, there's free wifi. It's an oasis for family and friends to experience the serenity of mountain life.The property has its own private two-car parking deck, from which you descend from the street for an even more private experience. The cabin is flanked on the left by an empty wooded lot, as well as behind. To the right set back from the property is another gorgeous vacation cabin that is almost always vacant. This vintage cabin contains both heating and AC.The large 3/4 bathroom with it's lengthy countertop and mirror has enough room for several people.The AreaLess than a mile from Lake Gregory, with multiple walking trails in all directions, enjoy the idyllic scenery by car or foot in any season. Walking distance to Top Town and its quaint antique and oddities shops, dining, and vintage thrift store. Downtown is half a mile away, with an even larger selection of vintage shops, record store, multiple cozy coffee shops, a wide variety of dining options including an authentic 1950s Saloon, homestyle Mexican with a lake view, bowling alley, and a large grocery store to satisfy any imaginable need.Only an hour and change from Los Angeles, or 20 minutes up the mountain from San Bernardino, this 5,000ft elevated valley boasts extreme serenity, with crickets, a lack of any and all city sounds, and seasonal weather that can range from snowy to sunny to foggy. The area checks every box from Wintry wonderland, to flowery budding Spring, to endless Summer on the Lake, to the setting of a foggy Fall Dickens novel.Lake Gregory has boat rentals year round, ranging from paddle boards and kayaks to larger family-sized covered electric motor boats, keeping the lake calm and serene but active and fun, with top-notch fishing, and a walking trail around the entire lake. The cabin sits on the highest point of the corner and the view of the ridgeline and the Lake Gregory is breathtaking!, there is no neighbor looking over you!! The step up fully stocked kitchen and the dining area over looking the living room with 55" ROKU TV connected to the home theater system is great for those game/fight nights!! There is wood burning stove in the living room is perfect for those winter nights!! The master bedroom has 46" Sony Bravia TV with Fire stick. And Serta adjustable (Head tilt) bed. The downstair room has computer desk/chair for those who needs to work or homework to get done and get connected with office/class etc. There is fast Wifi throughout the house. Kids will love their HIDDEN LOFT access via Heaven Gate!! (not in the picture, let them discover it!!) The brand new concrete driveway, retaining wall and multiple safety rails construction just barely done in Dec 2020. The long and sloping side yard is perfect for sledding in snowy days!! (see pic). We just added the additional safety fence on Jan 2021. The spacious backyard is great for the kids and it's rarely find in mountain area. The 80' foot long driveway accommodate 4 cars or 3 full size trucks.***Special notice***Since the mountain house is in the nature, there are many wild animals in the area. So, trash bags can't be leaving outside.
